Walkthrough

    After the Ba’al encounter, return to Al-Khampis. You can disable encounters using the R button to save time.

    Outside Al-Khampis, a cutscene will play. Continue into the city.

    Agnes will mention the Skyhold is above Ancheim. Exit Al-Khampis from the north to reach the desert.

    Head north-west, following the northern mountain range. You will encounter a large sandstorm ahead.

    Approach the sandstorm and attempt to enter it to trigger a cutscene. You cannot enter Ancheim this way.

    Return to Al-Khampis and speak to Pudgius near the north exit.

    Learn that Professor Norzen might be able to stop the sandstorm, but faculty staff are blocking access to his office.

    To get past the staff, you must return to Al-Khampis at night. Rest at the inn if needed, then wait outside the town until nightfall.

    Attract the attention of the giant familiar in the opposite corner to initiate a boss battle against Professor Norzen.

Strategy:

  • Norzen uses Physical Boost to increase his physical attack, potentially causing one-hit KOs. Use Default with weaker characters to build BP and mitigate damage. Damage Dispersion (Wizard Level 3) can help spread damage.
  • Have your Fencer enter Aurochs stance for increased physical defense.
  • Use healing items to restore your party's HP.
  • When Norzen recasts Physical Boost (after landing four punches), he will waste a turn. Use this opportunity to heal and counterattack.
  • When Norzen's HP drops below half, he may use Magic Mirror (reflecting most magic) or Magical Boost (increasing magic attack). He has high magical defense, making Magic Mirror less effective.
  • When Norzen uses Tornado Arrow (which deals more damage the fewer characters are standing), he becomes immobile for one turn. Use this turn to heal and unleash your strongest attacks.
  • After the battle and a cutscene, you will learn that the Compass of Space and Time is located in the Harena Sea Caves.
  • Leave the spire and rest at the inn.
  • You can now choose to progress the main story or tackle another sidequest. It is recommended to do sidequests first to gain experience, jobs, and loot.
