Alright, let's talk about the Entrance Hallway in the dormitory. It's a bit different depending on which Resident Evil game you're playing, so pay attention! ### Original Resident Evil In the original, you'll find a couple of blue herbs chilling in this hallway. There's also a broken hole near the door leading to the dormitory corridor. You can actually close this hole using a statue you'll find in the center of the area. If you forget to close it, be careful! A root might just grab you, Chris or Jill, when you try to run across. Don't get strangled! ### Resident Evil: Director's Cut Things change a bit here. In the original version, there's one broken hole. But in the Director's Cut, especially in Arrange mode, you'll see two broken holes between Room 001 and the Break Room. There's also another hole that's the same as in the original. You only get one statue to close one of the three holes, so choose wisely! ### Resident Evil (Remake) For the remake, they've added some large boxes near those broken holes. When you first enter, Room 001 will be locked. You'll need to find the key for it in Room 002. You can also move the box near the Break Room door to cover one of the broken holes. Be warned though, even if you pass through, a tentacle might just pop out and get you! ### Items * Blue Herbs: Found in the hallway in the original Resident Evil. * Pesticide Spray: You might find this near the blue herbs. It's empty, though. * Key for Room 001: Needed to unlock Room 001 in the remake. ### Examines * Supplies (Near the blue herbs): "A pesticide spray for flowers. It appears to be empty." * Room 001 (Without the key): "It's locked. The doorplate reads "001"." * Room 001 (With the Key): "You used the Key for Room 001. There's no further use for this key. Discard? Yes/No"
