A friendly guide to Resident Evil Revelations 2's 'The Struggle' extra episode, covering Moira Burton's survival story and her time with Evgeny Rebic.

So, you've made it to "The Struggle," one of the extra episodes in Resident Evil: Revelations 2. This one's a bit different, as it focuses on Moira Burton's story after Claire had to leave her behind. It's a six-month survival tale on the island, and you'll be playing as Moira for most of it, with a little help from Evgeny Rebic. The Story So Far After Claire's departure, Moira was in a bad way, but thankfully, Evgeny Rebic found her. He's a gruff guy and wasn't too keen on helping at first, but he lets Moira stay with him as long as she pulls her weight and joins him on hunts. He's pretty set on the idea that escape isn't possible, telling Moira to "face reality." For six months, they hunt and survive together. Trouble in Paradise Moira, understandably, gets tired of Evgeny telling her what to do and decides to look for a way off the island herself. Big mistake! This leads a bunch of Afflicted right to their hideout in the sewers. You and Evgeny will have to fight them off to protect your home base. New Threats and a Father's Grief As time goes on, food gets scarce because of a new monster, the Revenant, wiping out wildlife. Evgeny suggests stocking up. While scavenging, they find a document listing people taken to the mines for experiments. Evgeny is shocked to see his daughter, Irina Rebic, on the list. They head to the mines to find out what happened. Moira decides to go along, partly to give Evgeny some closure, but she's starting to feel like he's pushing her away. After a tough fight against Revenants and some Durga, they find a letter from Irina. Evgeny is devastated and isolates himself, accepting his fate. This only strengthens Moira's resolve to survive and see her own father, Barry, again. The Climax The episode ends with a bang! You'll walk in on Alex Wesker (who's gone full Uroboros virus-mutated) about to finish off Barry and Natalia. This leads right into the end of Episode 4: Metamorphosis. A Few Extra Notes: * This episode's title is a nod to Franz Kafka's short story, "Description of a Struggle." * You won't find any animals to hunt for continues in the last section. * Moira and Evgeny deal more damage than usual, but they do use ammo when shooting. Evgeny's rifle can one-shot basic enemies when you control it, but not when the AI uses it. * Evgeny's ammo resets between sections, and he can only use his rifle. You can give Moira extra rifle ammo before a section ends to help her out. * There are four sections: Forest, Sewers, Village, and Mines.
