Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering Rustboro City, head north to the Pokemart.
- 2Continue north past the Pokemart to find the Pokemon Center.
- 3Exit the Pokemon Center and enter the house to its left. Talk to the man inside to receive HM01 (Cut).
- 4Return to the Pokemon Center, then head east to a fountain.
- 5Enter the building above the fountain, the Pokemon Trainer's School.
- 6Talk to the teacher inside to receive the Quick Claw.
- 7Leave the school and head north to find the Pokemon Gym.
- 8Enter the house to the right of the gym to trade your Ralts for a Seedot nicknamed Dots holding a Chesto Berry (optional).
- 9Enter the Pokemon Gym to battle Roxanne.
- 10After defeating Roxanne, exit the gym and follow the path north, then east to find a Devon Corporations employee.
- 11Continue east onto Route 116.
Tips
- HM01 (Cut) has a power of 50 and can be used as an attack outside of battle once you defeat the gym leader. Unlike TMs, HMs can be used an unlimited number of times.
- The Quick Claw increases the chance of striking first in battle and is best given to a slow Pokemon with a low speed stat.
- Repeat Balls and Timer Balls, priced at $1,000 each, will not appear in the Pokemart until you reach the Rusturf Tunnel.
- Repeat Balls improve your chances of catching Pokemon you've previously captured.
- Timer Balls become more effective as the battle progresses through more turns.
