Walkthrough
- 1Head south into Route 104 and then back into Petalburg Woods.
- 2Use Cut to access a new path in Petalburg Woods.
- 3Head south in Petalburg Woods to a ledge. Cut the bush to your right.
- 4Head east and talk to the lady to receive a Miracle Seed, which boosts a Pokemon's Grass moves by 10% when held.
- 5Head south out of Petalburg Woods to the other side of Route 104.
- 6Enter the cottage by the sea with the dock and ship.
- 7Talk to Mr. Briney and accept his offer to sail to Dewford Town.
- 8Upon arrival in Dewford Town, heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center to the west.
- 9Near the dock, talk to the fisherman and say yes to his question to receive the Old Rod.
- 10To fish, cast your rod in the water and press A quickly when you hear "Oh! A bite!". The Old Rod primarily yields Magikarp, which evolves into Gyarados at level 20.
- 11Go to the house to the right of the Pokemon Center. Talk to the guy inside to receive a Silk Scarf, which powers up Normal-type moves when held.
- 12Go to the house north of the Pokemon Center. Talk to a person inside to change the trendy phrase, which affects the 6 random tiles where Feebas appears in Route 119. A kid in this house will give you TM36, Sludge Bomb.
- 13Head south of the Pokemon Center to the gym. If your Pokemon are too weak, consider battling trainers near Granite Cave or wild Pokemon within Granite Cave.
