Poke Balls

Learn about all Poke Balls in Pokemon Emerald, including the Master Ball, Dive Ball, and how to get a free Premier Ball.

Poke Ball: A standard ball used for capturing Pokemon. Its success rate decreases as you encounter stronger Pokemon.

Great Ball: Offers a better chance of catching wild Pokemon compared to a regular Poke Ball.

Ultra Ball: Provides an even better chance of catching wild Pokemon than a Great Ball.

Master Ball: This ball can catch any Pokemon without fail. It is recommended to save it for legendary Pokemon.

Premier Ball: To obtain a Premier Ball, you must buy exactly 10 Poke Balls at a PokeMart. They function identically to Poke Balls but have a different design.

Luxury Ball: Any Pokemon captured using a Luxury Ball will start with a significantly higher happiness rating.

Dive Ball: This ball is more effective when used against wild Pokemon found on the ocean floor while using the move Dive.

Nest Ball: The Nest Ball is more effective against Pokemon that are at a lower level than your own Pokemon.

Net Ball: This ball is more effective when used against Bug-type and Water-type Pokemon.

Repeat Ball: The Repeat Ball is more effective against Pokemon that you have already captured previously.

Timer Ball: The longer a battle lasts against wild Pokemon, the better the Timer Ball's chance of catching the Pokemon becomes.

Safari Ball: These balls are exclusively used within the Safari Zone. You receive 30 Safari Balls at once, but they have a low success rate for catching Pokemon.
