- 4Inside New Mauville, hit the blue switch to open the blue gate to the left.
- 5Enter the blue gate and hit the green switch.
- 6Head left and then right into a room to find an Ultra Ball.
- 7Return left and head north into an opening to find an Escape Rope.
- 8Go back to where the Escape Rope was, hit the blue switch, and go through the newly opened gate to your left.

- Magnemite (Very Common)
- Electrode (Very Rare)
- Magneton (Very Rare)
Tips
- Be aware that some items in New Mauville are actually wild Voltorb.
- You cannot have both blue and green switches activated simultaneously; they open and close different doors.
- Voltorb can evolve into Electrode, which is very fast and can use the move Explosion for high damage, though it may cause your own Pokemon to faint.
- Magnemite is an Electric/Steel type with good defense and attacks, weak only to Fire, Fighting, and Ground-type moves.
- TM24: Thunderbolt is an electric-type move with 95 power and 100 accuracy, with a chance to paralyze, making it a powerful move for the rest of the game.
