Slot 5 - Handguns

Pistol

• Appears After: Soldier - Downtown Ammu-Nation; O, Brothel, Where Art Thou? - Stonewall J's.
• Cost: $240 at Downtown Ammu-Nation and Stonewall J's; $180 after completion of Phil's Shooting Range.
• Notes: A decent handgun, also known as a Government Model 1911. Can be bought or acquired from dead Cops. You can use this weapon while running to make yourself harder to hit while taking down a target.

Equalizer

• Appears After: From Zero to Hero.
• Cost: $2,000 at North Point Mall Ammu-Nation; $1,500 after completion of Phil's Shooting Range.
• Notes: The best handgun and one of the best weapons overall. Practically a one-kill weapon (except on SWAT members), making it very effective on most missions. You can't run while shooting with this gun, but quick targeting allows for fast work on groups of enemies with little damage.

Slot 6 - Shotguns

All shotguns use the same ammo, so you can increase your shotgun ammo by switching between different types.

Shotgun

• Appears After: Soldier.
• Cost: $1,000 at Downtown Ammu-Nation; $750 after completion of Phil's Shooting Range.
• Notes: A standard pump-action single-barreled shotgun. Slow fire rate but still effective.

Stubby Shotgun

• Appears After: O, Brothel, Where Art Thou?
• Cost: $1,200 at Stonewall J's; $900 after completion of Phil's Shooting Range.
• Notes: This shotgun has had its barrels sawn off for easier concealment, greatly reducing its range but making it a beast up close.

Spaz 12

• Appears After: From Zero to Hero.
• Cost: $4,000 at Ocean Beach Ammu-Nation; $3,000 after completion of Phil's Shooting Range.
• Notes: A rapid-fire shotgun with a seven-round clip, also the best shotgun in the game.
