Calling the Hydraean

Fast-travel back to the Palsino Street Station. Exit the underground diner and ascend two flights of stairs to the southeast. Turn southwest, pass under some arches, and proceed down a street. This is the same route to Luna's dress storefront, but you will not need to travel as far to reach Camelia’s estate.

Speak with the guard at the gate of Camelia’s estate to enter for negotiations.

During the meeting with Camelia, select the following dialogue options to earn her trust and rewards: Express gratitude, Show concern for Accordo, Be truthful, Be truthful, Show concern for the city, Agree with her, Agree to help evacuate, Act confident, Agree amicably, Empathize with her position, Say thanks.

Successfully negotiating with Camelia will reward you with four Oracle Ascension Coins and conclude the story quest.

After the meeting, Noctis will ride a gondola with his friends to discuss the upcoming strategy. Following some story events, you will regain control of Noctis in front of a large crowd. Walk forward to trigger more story sequences.

Leviathan has been summoned, and the empire is surrounding her. Your objective is to reach a vantage point. Imperials will appear to stop you.

Engage and defeat the first pair of Magitek Swordsmen.

Continue onward to face Batter Soldiers.

Further ahead, you will encounter more Battery Soldiers and Imperial Snipers. These enemies are level eighteen and sixteen.

After defeating the initial imperial forces, proceed along the linear path, which will trigger more cutscenes.

Once the cutscenes end, run to the end of the path and leap off the balcony. Prompto will catch you, having commandeered a vehicle from the empire.

While airborne, you will encounter instances requiring Quick Time Events (QTEs) to block and parry attacks from Leviathan. Successfully deal with three consecutive attacks.

Press Triangle/Y to warp onto Leviathan.

The objective for reaching the Hydraean rewards you with 1,500 EXP.

To challenge Leviathan, select the following dialogue options: “Demand her power”, “Maintain a commanding tone”, and “Maintain a commanding tone”. This will earn you 10 AP but will also make Leviathan stronger.

After landing, move forward until a short scene with Leviathan occurs, initiating the fight.

You can warp to any of the floating land segments in the arena. Wait on a platform for Leviathan to appear in the center, then lock-on and perform a warp-strike. If you fall into the water, warp to another platform and repeat. A warp-strike will eventually trigger cutscenes.

Noctis will gain full power. He can warp freely using the left stick, airdash with X/A, and warp-strike with Triangle/Y.

The fight begins with a few QTEs. Once they are over, you can move freely.

Pressing Circle/B will launch all Royal Arms at Leviathan, making attacks easier.

When Leviathan becomes vulnerable after taking enough damage, continue attacking until a part of her breaks off.

In the second stage, Leviathan will move around extensively. She will eventually stop in the middle, allowing you to deal damage.

In the third and final stage, Leviathan will summon waterspouts. Continue attacking as before. A final QTE will conclude the battle and the chapter.

Earning Leviathan’s favor rewards you with 3,000 EXP and the Mark of the Hydraean.
