Walkthrough
- 1Mount your birds and ride south to the Chocobo racing tracks. Locate the three towers with golden domes on the western end of the blue track. Search under the stairs at the eastern end of the eastern-most tower to find Mystery Map VII, which starts the quest “Scraps of Mystery VII”.
- 2Mount your birds and ride south-east, through the Chocobo race tracks, past the Swainsmere Fishing Spot and to the Malacchi Pond Fishing Spot. Search the mineral deposits near the fishing spot to find three Heliodor Stones. One is west of the Fishing Spot, another is south of the lake near the eastern end of the search area, and the third is near the southern end of the search area.
- 3Search the Malacchi Pond Fishing Spot itself for loot spots containing Spider Silk and a lure. Plunder the Treasure Spot south-east of the Fishing Spot on some rocks to find Assassin’s Daggers.
- 4Return to Dino with the three Heliodor Stones to start the quest “Reliable Royalty”. Then, return to the Wiz Chocobo Outpost, resting as necessary to keep Daemons at bay.
- 5Return to the Wiz Chocobo Outpost. Interact with Wiz's patio table to start the quest “Where the Wild Chocobos Are”. Head north-east to the Behemoth’s Lair. Make your way through, kill Voretooths, crawl under the wall where you encountered Deadeye, and duck under the logs. Catch the Chocobo by running after it and hitting X/A to take its picture. Return to Wiz.
- 6Talk to Wiz again to start the quest “Bird on the Brink”. Drive the Regalia or a Chocobo to the Cauthess Rest Area to the south-west. Make your way south into the wilderness to find the ailing Chocobo at the quest marker. Interact with it and give it a Potion.
- 7Return to Wiz to pick up the quest “A Feathery Feast”, which tasks you with bringing him an Aegir Root. Aegir Roots can be found north of Galdin Quay in the crook of the U-shaped road, east of Aldare’s shop, or in the Ostium Gorge area north-west of the Brackham Haven Campground.
- 8Talk to Wiz again to start the quest “Chase That Chocobo!”.
