Coernix Station: Alstor Hunts

Complete Alstor Hunts in final fantasy xv, including Galloping Garulas, Beasts Wallow in the Wetlands, and Marsh Madness. Rewards include gil and items.

Hunts:

1. Galloping Garulas
   • Level: 12
   • Target: Green Garula (x3), Garula (x3)
   • Habitat: Alstor Slough (Daytime)
   • Reward: 2 Stars, 2,010 Gil, Hi-Elixir

   The Garulas are located east of the northern tip of the slough. Green Garulas are stronger versions of normal Garulas. Both are weak to greatswords, firearms, and fire, and strong against ice and holy.

2. Beasts Wallow in the Wetlands
   • Level: 14
   • Target: Yellowtooth (x5)
   • Habitat: Alstor Slough (All Times)
   • Reward: 2 Stars, 2,330 Gil, Warrior’s Anklet

   Yellowtooths are found on the eastern side of the slough, northeast of Neeglyss Pond. They are similar to Voretooths and are weak to polearms, shields, and ice, while resistant to fire and holy.

3. Untamed Wild Horses
   • Level: 25
   • Target: Spiracorn (x7)
   • Habitat: Alstor Slough (Daytime)
   • Reward: 2 Stars, 3,870 Gil, Megalixir

   Requires Hunter Rank 3. These enemies are on the southern side of the large rock formation on the western side of the slough. Spiracorns are level 25 and there are seven of them. They are weak to swords and shields, and fire spells. Playing defensively is recommended until their numbers dwindle. Holding Square/X can trigger blocks/parries.

   Sturdy Helixhorns dropped by Spiracorns sell for a good amount of gil.

4. Reign Triumphant
   • Level: 32
   • Target: Garulessa (x1), Garula (x5)
   • Habitat: Alstor Slough (Daytime)
   • Reward: 3 Stars, 5,280 Gil, Mega Phoenix

   Requires Hunter Rank 4. The Garulessa and Garulas are located near “The” Nebulawood on your map. The Garulessa is an overgrown Garula, weak to greatswords and fire, and machinery. It has approximately 75,000 HP.

5. The Rogues of Rydielle Ley
   • Level: 35
   • Target: Cockatrice (x3)
   • Habitat: Rydielle Ley (Daytime)
   • Reward: 3 Stars, 5,880 Gil, Mega Phoenix

   Requires Hunter Rank 4. Cockatrices are level 35 creatures with nearly 70,000 HP each. They are found in Rydielle Ley. Be cautious heading west from Coernix Station - Alstor, as a level 53 Griffon may appear. Cockatrices are weak to greatswords, machinery, and fire, and strong against ice and holy. They can poison you with a spit attack. Look for parry opportunities.

6. Marsh Madness! The Giant Awakens
   • Level: 38
   • Target: Catoblepas (x1)
   • Habitat: Alstor Slough (All Times)
   • Reward: 3 Stars, 6,560 Gil, Blue Choker

   Requires Hunter Rank 4. The Catoblepas is a large creature found in Alstor Slough with around 113,000 HP. It can put you into Danger status in one or two hits. Its attacks include neck/head swings and foot stomps. Be careful staying near its feet. When it stands on its hind legs, prepare to block for a potential parry and counter. Watch out for its gust of air attack. If you warp-strike its head, be mindful of fall damage; warp near the ground, use a point-warp, or warp-strike its feet.
