Alright, let's talk about Ignis's cooking! This is actually one of the most useful skills in the game because the food he whips up gives temporary buffs to the whole party, making you all tougher to take down. As you collect ingredients from monsters, fishing, and exploring, Ignis will automatically learn new recipes. Sometimes you'll even pick up new ones from reading flyers or other bits of info scattered around the world.
The catch? You can only actually cook these amazing meals at camping spots, which are called Havens. You can't just whip up a feast on the go. Also, keep an eye out for Ascension Grid abilities that extend the duration of these food buffs. Since the buffs are timed, try to avoid sleeping too much, as that eats up a lot of in-game time. It's also super important to note that sometimes Ignis won't learn a recipe if you just buy the ingredient; you'll need to find it out in the wild. You start with four recipes, but there are a whopping 103 in total (plus a preorder bonus one!).
