Robbing Royal Tombs

Claim the Sword of the Wise and find the Bioblaster in final fantasy xv's Robbing Royal Tombs. Learn about the Royal Arms and Tombkeep's Key.

Return to the Prairie Outpost to continue the main story. Exit the outpost via the dirt road running north, near where Dave is standing. Follow this road until you find another dirt path running uphill to the north-west, which leads to the tomb. Kill any Daggerquills along the way and enter the tomb. Inside, Cor will be waiting. A cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) will play, after which you will receive the Sword of the Wise, one of the Royal Arms. These weapons are powerful but drain Noctis's HP when used.

Talk to Cor again. He will tell you about another tomb nearby and accompany you there. He reveals there are thirteen Royal Arms in total, located in Royal Tombs. Leave the Tomb of the Wise and head back downhill, fighting Sabertusks. Follow the road north-east to the Keycatrich Ruins and note the Imperial drop-ships. You can sneak past the Imperials by continuing north-west along the wall and entering the Keycatrich Trench. Alternatively, head east into the Keycatrich Ruins to fight Imperials, including Magitek Axemen, Imperial Riflemen, and Imperial Snipers. You can commandeer a turret here.

After the fight, continue north-east to find two Magitek Armor, MA Veles. Two more Imperial drop-ships will arrive with reinforcements, including more Imperial Riflemen, Magitek Axemen, and another MA Veles. After defeating them, search near a bush in the south-eastern corner of the ruins to find a Giant Hairy Horn. Before entering the Keycatrich Trench, leap into rocks facing the entrance, then jump onto rocks west of the entrance. Near some crates, you will find the Bioblaster, usable by Noctis and Prompto, which has a special attack but prevents Warp-Strikes. You can also find a Hi-Elixir on the rocks to the east of the entrance.

Enter the Keycatrich Trench. Cor will leave the party, giving you the Tombkeep's Key and asking you to find the rest of the Royal Arms. Continue north. At a metal cage doorway, turn west to find a loot spot containing a Metal Scrap. Pass through the cage doorway and go down the stairs. Follow the cable north, then east to a generator. Turn it on to illuminate the dungeon. From the generator, head down a tunnel to the north to find another loot spot (Electrolytic Condenser), then turn west to return to the main passage.
