All Set to Set Sail (Part 1): To Part

Continue your journey in Final Fantasy XV by heading to Cape Caem with Iris. Learn about new side quests, time cycle changes, and prepare for the next part of your adventure.

Alright, so you've wrapped up Chapter 5 and are looking to push forward in Final Fantasy XV. Chapter 6 keeps things pretty focused on the main story, with not a ton of new side quests popping up. You'll notice Coctura at the Mother of Pearl in Galdin Quay has a new quest called "Berried Memories", but heads up – you can't actually finish that one just yet. Also, if you snagged a Gravity Well weapon, you can take it to Cid to start the upgrade quest "A Better Gravity Well". The part you'll need for that is a Hydraulic Cylinder. If you happen to have picked one up near where the hunt "The Last Spiracorns" takes place, now's your chance to get that upgrade!

If you've already cleared all the side quests from Chapter 3, you're all set to continue with the main story. If not, and you're feeling up for it, now's a great time to knock out a few more side quests. Don't sweat it too much; you can actually drive away with the Regalia right under Iris's nose, and she probably won't even notice!

Something else you might have noticed is that the days seem to be getting shorter. The new times for the four day cycles – dawn, day, dusk, and night – are as follows. It means night will take up about half of any given 24-hour period. So, it's a good idea to get strong enough to handle some of those common night-time daemons, like Iron Giants.

Once you're done with any lingering side quests, it's time to get back to the main objective. You need to take Iris to Cape Caem, which is a coastal spot down on the southern end of Cleigne, southeast of Old Lestallum. First, head over to the Mini Mart just outside of Lestallum. When you're ready to go, chat with Iris to start the journey. It's going to be a pretty long drive, and honestly, there's not much you can do but listen to the tunes. So, just kick back and relax. Along the way, Iris will point out Ravatogh – that's the location of another dungeon and some side quests you'll tackle later. Don't worry, you'll get there soon enough, just after you advance the story a bit more and level up a bit.

You'll be cruising along, enjoying the scenery and the music, when suddenly, the party spots another one of the empire's massive aircraft flying overhead. This calls for a bit of a detour, as a desire for revenge kicks in. To make this happen, you'll stop at the Old Lestallum parking spot, and the next main story quest will kick off, temporarily putting the "All Set to Sail" quest on hold.
