Guide to Zegnautus Keep in Final Fantasy XV. Discover the Sword of the Father, overcome poison gas, solve circuit puzzles, and face the daemon Foras.
Walkthrough
- 1Continue to the upper levels via the central elevator, but a Gargantua destroys the catwalk, sending you down.
- 2Upon waking, you find the Sword of the Father, a Royal Arm that drains HP.
- 3Examine the room for notes and an Elixir on the southern end.
- 4Fight two reanimated Axemen using the Sword of the Father.
- 5In the next room, collect a Mythril Shaft and a Hi-Elixir, then fight Snagas.
- 6Find a rest area in the next hallway.
- 7Beyond the rest area, poison gas begins to spill; head north to an empty room with Snagas and a Reflex Enhancer.
- 8Continue east, destroying Snagas, and collect a Megalixir at the hall's end.
- 9Find the room with the switch to shut off the poison gas and defeat the appearing Snagas.
- 10Collect the Magitek Booster and head south to a dead end for a Muscle Stimulant.
- 11Return to the split near the rest area and go south to a lone room for a Gralean Medal of Distinction and a Metal Scrap.
- 12Proceed to the next door.
- 13Fight an Axeman and a Shock Trooper; lure Shock Troopers to self-destruct.
- 14Continue to the room with the marker and fight two more Axemen.
- 15Enter the next room to find a vending machine with healing items.
- 16Upgrade security clearance on the machine next to the vendor to proceed through the northern door.
- 17Enter the area past the bridge and battle Rogue Axemen and Shock Troopers; lure Shock Troopers to explode.
- 18In the next room, fight Snagas, then go west to another rest area.
- 19Explore side rooms: the northern one has Snagas, an Imperial Medal of Honor, and a Megalixir; the western one has a Chobram Armor and Snagas; the southern one has a Mega-Potion. Be aware of reanimating Axemen.
- 20Return to the circular rooms and call the elevator.
- 21While the elevator descends, fight the large daemon, Foras. Dodge its charge and disappearing attack. Do not try to defeat it; get on the elevator when it arrives.
- 22As you move down the hallway, the power goes out. Head for the quest marker.
- 23In the room with the marker, defeat two Snagas, pick up an Ether, and hit the switch to restore power.
- 24Exit the room; Foras has followed. Dodge its attacks in the confined space. Foras cannot enter side rooms.
- 25To the north is a rest area. The room next to it contains a Superior Restorative.
- 26Enter the next room to find a Reflex Enhancer and two Snagas.
- 27Head west to find a Mythril Shaft in the upper of two rooms and a Megalixir in the bottom room. Foras stops chasing you at the stairs.
- 28The power goes out again. In the first room, fight an Uttu.
- 29Proceed north to the quest marker.
- 30Pick up the Rare Coin and turn the power back on with the switch.
- 31Return to the main room and go through the southern doorway to the top of the stairs.
- 32Grab the Chrome Bit along the way and enter the elevator.
- 33On the next floor, pick up a Mythril Shaft and enter the next room, the central room of a three-by-three grid.
- 34Defeat Snagas to operate the locks for the grid. You only have access to Switch A.
- 35Go north from the center, grab the Broken Harmonica, read files, and enter the northwestern room to find the Panel B Keycard.
- 36Return to the center and activate circuit panel B.
- 37Go south from the center, then enter the first room for a Gralean Medal of Distinction.
- 38Enter the southwestern room for a Mega-Potion and a Hydraulic Cylinder after fighting Snagas.
- 39Go to the northeastern room, defeat two Axemen, and pick up the Hi-Elixir and Panel C Keycard.
- 40Return to the center room and try to turn on circuit breaker C. It trips due to overload.
- 41To proceed, one circuit panel must remain off. Pair A and C, then B and C. You have already done AB.
- 42Turn on panels A and C to access the western room and get a Muscle Stimulant.
- 43Turn off A, then turn on B. Go to the exit.
- 44Defeat the Axeman on the stairs and pick up the Magitek Booster before the next door.
- 45Find a rest area immediately to your south; rest and save.
- 46Enter the first room to the north of the rest area to find an Axeman and a Chrome Bit.
- 47At the quest marker, pick up the Mega Phoenix and update security clearance to 5 in the smaller room.
- 48Follow the northern path to a large area with pods.
- 49Find a Megalixir at the northern end and a switch on the northern side of the inner circle. Hit the switch to raise the platform, triggering an alarm and spawning Magitek soldiers.
- 50Defeat the four Magitek soldiers that attack.
- 51Take the southern catwalks. The eastern path has a Muscle Stimulant and a Hi-Elixir. The western path has a Muscle Stimulant and a Flesh Fortifier.
- 52Update security clearance to level 6 next to the Flesh Fortifier, which will cause Axemen to appear. Use the Ring of the Lucii (Holy or Alterna) to defeat them.
- 53Return to the central platform. A Wraith and several Rogue Axemen and Shock Troopers will spawn.
- 54To manage the fight, run to the northern end and funnel the Axemen. Use Holy or Alterna.
- 55Defeat the Axemen, then the Wraith, and finally the Shock Troopers, watching for self-destructing ones.
- 56Enter the door to the north to find another rest area.
- 57Pick up a Reflex Enhancer before the next room and a Hi-Elixir in the room to the north.
- 58As you enter the long hallway, electric barriers will appear, and nearby bodies will animate as Shock Troopers.
- 59Defeat the Shock Troopers to dissipate the barriers. Do this quickly to avoid being crushed by a moving Shock Trooper.
- 60At the end, you are trapped. Wait and defeat the final enemy to be freed and reunited with your friends.
Tips
- The Sword of the Father drains your HP when attacking, but lessens reliance on the Ring of the Lucii.
- Shock Troopers are designed to self-destruct; lure them close and back away to detonate them.
- The vending machine offers healing items; sell treasures to restock.
- Foras cannot follow you into side rooms.
- Use the Ring of the Lucii's Holy or Alterna abilities against large groups of enemies or powerful foes like the Wraith.
- If Foras enters a room, move back into the hallway to make it respawn there.
- EXP 3,000 for reuniting with your friends.
