Where To Find Iron Ore

Alright, so you're looking to get your hands on some Iron Ore in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, huh? This is a key material for crafting the Islekeeps Bronze Beakaxe, which you'll need to progress further on your island. Don't worry, it's not too complicated once you know where to look!

First things first, you can't just waltz up to any old rock and expect to get Iron Ore. You'll need to have reached Sanctuary Rank 8 and crafted yourself the Islekeeps Bronze Beakaxe. To craft that, you'll need a few other materials:

• 3 Island Logs (gather from Tualong and Mahogany Trees between Pristine Pond and Eastward Stream)
• 3 Island Copper Ore (mine Bluish Rocks between Gentle Slope and Pirate Bay, near [X:17.0, Y:14.6] with the Islekeeps Stone Hammer)
• 4 Island Tinsand (mine Submerged Sand along the Northward Stream, near [X: 17.9, Y:21.2] with the Islekeeps Shovel – requires Rank 5)
• 3 Island Cotton (gather from Cotton Plants at Peak Point, near [X:27.3, Y:29.0] with an Islekeep’s Copper Scythe – requires Rank 6)

Once you've got the Bronze Beakaxe equipped, you're ready to find the Iron Ore itself. You'll be looking for Rough Black Rocks in The Wilds.

Island Iron Ore Locations

There are two main spots where you can find these Rough Black Rocks:

• Sunrise Lookout: This spot is located at [X:26.3, Y:19.4].
• Rocky Reef: This area is at [X:29.7, Y:10.6].

My advice? If you're trying to farm a good amount of Iron Ore, don't just stick to one spot. Hop between Sunrise Lookout and Rocky Reef. This way, by the time you've cleared out one area, the nodes in the other should have respawned, meaning less downtime for you!
