How To Increase Sanctuary Rank

Unlock the Island Sanctuary: First things first, you need to have purchased all the expansions up to Endwalker and completed the Main Scenario Quests. Once that's done, head to Old Sharlayan and find the Clueless Crier at coordinates (X:11.9, Y:11.0) to start the side quest 'Seeking Sanctuary'. This is your ticket in!

Focus on Visions: When you first arrive on your island, you'll notice you can't do much. The key to unlocking more options is increasing your Sanctuary Rank. The absolute fastest way to do this is by completing the 'Visions' quests. Think of these as the Island Sanctuary's main storyline. Specifically, make sure you complete 'The Coziest of Cabins,' 'Top Crops,' 'Adorable Animals,' and 'A Workshop of Wonders.' These quests are designed to teach you the ropes – how to plant crops, capture critters, and build structures – and they give you a ton of Island EXP. Knocking these out should get you to around Sanctuary Rank 4 pretty easily.

Gather Resources: Once you've completed 'The Perfect Paradise' Vision, you'll be pretty much on your own to develop your island. To unlock more tools and facilities, you'll need to keep increasing your rank. This means heading out into The Wilds to gather essential materials like Island Stones, Island Vine, and Island Logs. Every single resource you gather will net you 10 points towards your Sanctuary Rank. Since gathering is pretty quick, these points really add up fast!

Build Facilities: The last major way to boost your rank is by constructing facilities on your island. Each building you complete will give you a nice chunk of Island EXP. Plus, remember that building these facilities requires a lot of the resources you've been gathering. So, by focusing on gathering materials, you're not only earning EXP over time but also setting yourself up for a big EXP reward when you finally build that facility. It's a win-win!
