Hydaelyn Trial

Phase One Mechanics: Focus on Dawn's Mantle. Remember the color cues: red means run in, green means run away, and blue means run away diagonally. Be prepared for occasional raid-wide AoEs and tank busters.

Heroes’s Radiance: This is a raid-wide attack that deals moderate damage. Precasting Medica II or equivalent before the battle can help keep the party healthy if Hydaelyn casts this early.

Magos’s Radiance: Another raid-wide AoE. Heal through this attack as you normally would.

Dawn Mantle: Hydaelyn changes her weapon, signaling different mechanics:

• Dragoon Lance (Green Icon): Hydaelyn casts a large AoE underneath her. Run far away from her immediately upon seeing the green icon.

Dancer Chakrams (Red Icon): Hydaelyn casts a large donut AoE. Run directly underneath her to avoid it. Later, this can be followed by Crystallize, which may apply Stack markers or AoE circles. If so, move into the stack/AoE area as normal, then immediately move out, ensuring you don't overlap with other party members.

Paladin Sword (Blue Icon): Hydaelyn casts a thick plus-shaped AoE towards the cardinal directions (N, E, S, W). Run towards an intercardinal direction (NE, NW, SE, SW) to avoid this. The AoE hitbox is wide, so ensure you are out of melee range.

Mousa’s Scorn: This is Hydaelyn's tank buster. It must be shared with the off-tank, and both tanks should use their defensive cooldowns to mitigate the damage. The marker for this attack has two small red orbs rotating around each other.

Heroes’s Sundering: Another tank buster, this one features a cleave in a cone-shaped AoE. Only the tank should be hit by this attack.

Phase 2 Mechanics: You will be transported to a rainbow-colored platform with six crystals. This is a DPS add phase where all six crystals of light must be destroyed before the Conviction bar reaches 100%, which would cause a wipe. Hydaelyn will cast attacks to slow you down while you focus on the crystals.

Hydaelyn’s Ray: A proximity line AoE down the center of the arena. The further you are from the center, the less damage you take. You may need to attack a different crystal if the line is near your current target.

Crystalline Blizzard III: Orange markers will appear on the entire party, and then drop small AoE circles on each player. Stay away from other players to avoid significant damage.

Crystalline Stone III: This is a traditional stack marker. Stack the party on the marker to share the damage.

Exodus: A raid-wide AoE that occurs when the Conviction gauge reaches 100% (resulting in a wipe) or when all crystals are destroyed. The higher the gauge number, the more damage it deals. Heal and mitigate through this to transition to Phase 3.

Phase 3 Mechanics: Hydaelyn will use previous mechanics and gain access to new attacks.

Crystallize: Hydaelyn adds a new mechanic after her next Dawn Mantle, determined by the crystal she absorbs. It will be either Crystalline Blizzard III (markers over every party member) or Crystalline Stone III (a stack marker on a random person).

Parhelion: This attack fires three sets of chakrams that create line AoEs originating from Hydaelyn, exploding in the order they are spawned. Stay between them to avoid damage. This is immediately followed by Subparhelion.

Subparhelion: The same chakrams from Parhelion travel back across the center of the room, exploding in their spawn order. Stand on the last set of chakrams until the first set explodes, then move to the safe spot.

Parhelic Circle: Hydaelyn casts a snowflake-shaped AoE in the center of the arena that extends across the entire arena. Orbs with medium-sized AoEs will then appear and instantly detonate.
