The New Lottery System

Patch 6.1 introduced a new Lottery system for acquiring houses across all districts, including Empyreum, to ensure a fair chance for all players. Previous methods, such as dummy Free Companies or continuously trying to claim a vacant plot when a hidden timer expired, are no longer possible.

  • Players must now be a member of a Free Company for at least 30 days before ownership can be transferred, closing the loophole of dummy Free Companies.
  • There is no longer a hidden timer for vacant plots, making attempts to claim them by waiting for expiration a useless exercise.
  • Housing wards are now split between Free Company Estates and Personal Estates. Ensure you are in the correct ward for the type of estate you wish to purchase.

How to Enter the Lottery:

  1. Identify a plot you wish to buy.
  2. Go to the plot's location and click on the sign outside.
  3. If you have the necessary funds, you can enter the Lottery for that plot. Your funds will be held temporarily.
  4. You can see the number of participants for a plot before committing, allowing you to potentially choose plots with fewer participants.
  5. Once you submit your entry, you will be given a date to expect the results, typically within a maximum of four days from when the plot was first available.
Tips
  • Consider checking the number of participants before entering the lottery for a plot.
  • Be aware of the split between Free Company and Personal Estate wards.
  • Ensure you have sufficient funds available, as they will be held during the lottery period.
