Detailed walkthrough for Part 21 of Deus Ex Remastered, covering objectives, item locations, codes, and strategies to successfully complete the mission and find all secrets.
Walkthrough
- 1On the North side of the main room, find a 20% Strength Keypad with the code 007 (a James Bond reference). Inside, collect 10MM AMMO, 7.62x51MM AMMO clips, WP ROCKETS, BUCKSHOT SHELLS, a RIOT PROD, a GAS GRENADE, a SCRAMBLE GRENADE, an EMP GRENADE, a MEDKIT, a PROD CHARGER, ROCKETS, and a single-shot LAW.
- 2Tell Ford Schick to make a run for it and escort him until he states he is safe. This completes the secondary goal: 80 SP SECONDARY GOAL: Rescue and escort Ford Schick. Talk to Schick until he runs out of dialogue for interesting lore.
- 3In the water reservoir, locate a crate with 10MM AMMO. Find a BIOELECTRIC CELL on a red pipe and an ACCURACY WEAPON MODIFICATION on another. To access them, rotate the bridge, walk to the walkway above the Cell, and fall towards it (taking damage). Then, jump towards the Weapon Mod (taking more damage). Shoot the crate, dive for the ammo, and quickly swim to a ladder. The Environmental Resistance Augmentation can reduce swim damage.
- 4Crawl out of the sewers and check in at Tenderloin Clinic for a rendezvous with the Med Bot (code: 2153).
- 5Visit Smuggler for discounted prices: SCOPE WEAPON MODIFICATION (700 credits), BIOELECTRIC CELL (250 credits), LIGHT AMPLIFICATION GOGGLES (1125 credits).
- 6If you have the Computer skill, make ATM rounds using the provided account information:
- Underworld Bar: Acc# 312446 (1351) - 125 credits; Acc# 947761 (2867) - 36 credits
- 7Subway: Acc# 312446 (1351) - 125 credits; Acc# 947761 (2867) - 98 credits
- 8'Ton Hotel: Acc# 312446 (1351) - 135 credits; Acc# 947761 (2867) - 62 credits
- 9Return to Osgood & Sons. If the front door is locked, find and bash in a window around the corner. On a small shaft, find a BIOELECTRIC CELL. Go up and take down the NSF soldier. If the front door was open, this soldier may already be dead. Open the front door with the Nanokey if needed. In a crate, find another BIOELECTRIC CELL.
- 10A 40% Strength Keypad guards an 80% Strength door. Without the code, use Multitools, explode the door with a GEP, or skip the contents: 10MM AMMO and an UPGRADE CANISTER. Djibriel's First Time Player Pick: Do not install the Canister immediately.
- 11On the West side of the main room, an unlocked door leads to a corridor. This path grants: 50 SP EXPLORATION BONUS: Back rooftop route Warehouse.
- 12The crate in this area contains a FLAMETHROWER, and on the ground is a BIOELECTRIC CELL. Do not proceed further; you will circle back to this location.
Tips
- The code 007 for the keypad is a reference to James Bond.
- Talk to Schick extensively for interesting lore regarding the chlorine spill, weaponized particles, and the Gray Death outbreak orchestrated by MJ12.
- The Universal Constructor and gray goo concepts are explained later in the game. A buckyball is a spherical carbon molecule, and a buckytube (carbon nanotube) is a tube with a similar structure, known for extreme strength and stiffness.
- 'Mecanocarbon' is likely a misspelling of 'Mechanocarbon', referring to JC's mechano-carbon threads in his axons, which utilize transistor-like properties of carbon nanostructures for information transfer.
- The character model for Ford Schick is based on Warren Spector.
- With level 2 Combat Strength, you can instantly knock out a blinded NSF Trooper with the Baton.
- If you have the Computer skill, hacking ATM machines and Public Banking Terminals can be lucrative. Being Advanced in the skill would have made this process easier and more profitable.
