Master the fight against Naomasa in Nioh with our guide. Learn his spear attack patterns, weaknesses, and strategies to emerge victorious and claim your rewards, including the Enko Spirit Guardian.
Walkthrough
- 1The fight against Naomasa is relatively straightforward. He uses spear combos, some of which are familiar from other spear-wielding enemies. Be wary of his powerful finishing moves like Piercing Rain and Spearfall. He also uses Low Stance moves like "Flying Monkey" and "Back Slash."
- 2Naomasa can use "Spirit Summon," unleashing his Enko and imbuing his spear with fire. Dash away from Enko and manage the fire effect on his weapon by rolling if hit.
- 3After defeating Naomasa, collect your reward and speak to him to proceed. You will obtain the "Possessed by Enko via spirit division" Spirit Guardian.
- 4The next objective involves dealing with the Fallen Onmyo Mages on Mount Hiei. Tenkai advises destroying "Kelley's Spikes."
- 5Head backwards from the boss area to find a [_CORPSE_] and a nearby SHRINE.
- 6Proceed forward, dealing with a NINJA on the left ledge and a mage on the right.
- 7Further ahead, in the area where the Nue was, there are TWO mages. It's recommended to leave them for now and head to the HOT SPRING past the well.
- 8On the way to the hot spring, defeat a ninja and find a [_CORPSE_] by a tree.
- 9After using the hot spring for regeneration, head back to engage one of the mages. A TENGU will appear.
- 10Try to let the enemies come to you, using hits as they approach and then guarding and retreating to the hot springs.
- 11After defeating the mage and Tengu, drop down to where the Nue was. Head up the slope to the right for a [_CORPSE_] and break the regen crystals.
- 12A larger crystal has another [_CORPSE_] and items nearby. Drop down to access a locked room below containing [_CORPSE x2_] and to open a door.
- 13Enter the cave through this door to fight a Skeleton Warrior.
