Your sensei, who happens to be the legendary Hattori Hanzo himself, has decided to test you. He's brought in a skilled sparring partner... himself! The key here, as he'll tell you, is to move swiftly and use your training to read your opponent's movements. It's all about that eye for an eye, so let's get ready to take him down.

Objective: Fight with Hattori Hanzo

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weakness: Vulnerable to poison. Applying poison early significantly reduces his threat.
• Armor: Wears light armor, making him susceptible to sustained physical damage once you get past his combos.

Phases:

1. Opening Phase: Hanzo starts with a mix of sword attacks and projectiles. It's highly recommended to use Gallnut Broth on your weapon and poison shurikens before engaging directly.
2. Mid-Fight: Hanzo will continue to use his various projectile attacks (shurikens, bombs) and his sword combo. Focus on dodging and finding openings.
3. Late-Fight: Hanzo might become more aggressive, but his patterns remain consistent. Continue to apply pressure when safe and manage his poison and fire effects.

Strategy:

• Preparation is Key: Before the fight even begins, use the Gallnut Broth provided to poison your weapon. This gives you a significant advantage right from the start.
• Poison Shurikens: Use your Poison Shurikens early on. The goal is to fill Hanzo's poison meter as much as possible before you get into close-quarters combat. This will chip away at his health and make him more vulnerable.
• Mobility is Life: Hanzo throws a lot of projectiles, especially shurikens and bombs. The best defense is constant movement. Dodge left or right, or even try to guard against the shurikens. Don't stand still!
• Punish the Sword Combo: His sword combo is fast, but it's mostly forward-focused. Dodge to the side as he leaps in, and you'll often find a good opening to counter-attack. Be aware that he can flip out of danger after his combos, so you might need to chase him down to keep the pressure on.
• Beware the Bombs: His Fire Bomb and Poison Bomb attacks are particularly dangerous. The fire deals heavy damage, and the poison cloud can linger. Always dodge to the sides when you see him preparing these.
• Makibishi Hazard: Hanzo uses his own Makibishi. These spikes will likely land between you, but if you accidentally step on them, they'll slow you down, making you an easy target. Just avoid them.
• Item Management: Don't forget to use the items you have! Poison Shurikens, Gallnut Broth, and Makibishi are all at your disposal. Use them to your advantage.
• Close the Distance: Once you've poisoned him and dodged his initial onslaught, close in. Your physical attacks will outdamage his defenses if you can land them consistently between his moves.
