Boss Encounter: Saika Magoichi

Saika Magoichi is a memorable boss who fights with a rifle and uses his wings to fly and attack from above. He can also disappear and reappear nearby, often attempting a grab attack.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Weakness: Lure him into the fire in the arena for extra damage.
• Grab Attack: His most dangerous move; keep health high and dodge when he disappears and reappears behind you.

Phases:

1. Ranged Combat: Saika primarily attacks with his rifle from a distance. He can shoot quickly, multiple times, and while airborne.
2. Aerial Attacks: He uses his wings to fly, throwing bombs or shooting his rifle down at you.
3. Melee Combat: When close, Saika uses sword combos, including a charge attack and a spinning slash.
4. Grab Attack: A powerful move often used after reappearing behind you.
5. Yatagarasu Summon: Saika summons his Guardian Spirit, Yatagarasu, which shoots three wind blasts.

Strategy:

• Stay Close: Try to remain close to Saika to bait his melee attacks, which are easier to punish.
• Punish Landings: When Saika lands after an aerial attack, use strong attacks to punish him.
• Guard and Recover: Guard against his sword combos and recover Ki afterwards.
• Dodge Grabs: When Saika disappears, dash away to avoid his grab attack.
• Utilize the Arena: Use the fire in the arena to your advantage by luring Saika into it.
• Avoid Wind Blasts: When Yatagarasu is summoned, try to position yourself between the wind blasts rather than guarding.
