Walkthrough

    From the entrance, follow the right wall to a corpse overlooking the previous area. Kill the spider at the end of the tunnel and another that attacks from behind. Loot the two corpses.

    Continue right to another tunnel with a corpse, then take the ladder upwards.

    In the new area, ignore the ramp with a corpse and head right. Snipe the Skeleton Archer, then defeat the Great Skeleton Warrior and claim the corpse.

    Head back and up the slope. Near a ledge, loot a corpse.

    In the next courtyard, headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill) the Biwa singer to avoid fighting Revenants. Kill the spider near the entrance. Loot a corpse on the right and check behind the shed for a Hunter Kodama. Kill the spider in the opposite shed and loot the corpse.

    Shoot the Giant Spider on the watchtower to bring it down, then kill it to obtain Hiragumo Fragment 4/6.

    Head back to where you climbed out of the well and go up the ramp. Head out onto the roof and knock down the ladder to create a shortcut. Drop down and proceed to the Shrine.

    After using the Shrine, head left up the ramp. Re-kill the spiders, skeleton, and Onyudo. Continue further up to a large gate and open it with the Key to the Castle Gates.

    Use the Shrine inside, then enter the building to the right to find a chest.

    Follow the right path, dropping down to a web behind a Skeleton Warrior, or continue left to fight a Skeleton Warrior and find a ladder. Head down to the area below.

    Kill the spider across the web bridge and the spider near the corpse. Prepare for a Giant Spider fight in the mist. Defeat it to obtain Hiragumo Fragment 5/6.

    To the left of the mist area, destroy boxes to find a corpse and undo the gate.

    Head back to the last Shrine. Continue left of the Shrine, around to a corpse.

    Head up the ramp to a chest, then fight the Wheelmonk, using the narrow pathways to your advantage.

    Kill the Skeleton Archer in the doorway. Go around to the left of the building, snipe the spiders on the right wall, and kill them.

    Prepare for the Giant Spider in the mist. Kill it to obtain Hiragumo Fragment 6/6, unlocking the "Ressurector of the Hiragumo" Bronze Trophy.

    Search the back of this area for an Oracle Kodama.

    Head back to the castle entrance and go inside. Loot the corpse to the right (beware the spider above). Kill the Skeleton Warrior at the back and loot the corpse behind it (beware the spider above).

    Drop onto the webbing or use the corner to make a ramp. Loot the corpse within the webbing, which leads to a room with a Shrine.

    Use the Shrine. Go up a ladder to find a Big Chest and a smaller chest. Loot the corpse in the hallway outside the room to the left, and examine the right to find a Healer Kodama.

    Go back up the stairs, re-kill the Giant Skeleton and the spider. Head to the back for another stairway leading up.

BOSS ENCOUNTER: JORO-GUMO

Joro-Gumo shares traits with previous spiders, such as "Slow String" and "Leg Attack", but is significantly tougher.

Tips
  • Use pillars for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) against the Hiragumo Fragment 3/6 spider if you cannot kill it directly.
  • A Fire Talisman can help defeat the Giant Spiders.
  • Use the narrow pathways to block the Wheelmonk.
  • Prepare for the Joro-Gumo boss fight, as it is much tougher than previous spider enemies.
  • Consider using items to prepare for the Joro-Gumo fight, as a Shrine is nearby.
  • You can potentially hit the Joro-Gumo down the hole in the arena.
