Walkthrough

After defeating the boss, collect dropped items and exit the mission.

You will unlock the missions "Basic Action Controls", "Applied Action Controls", and "The Way of the Ninja: Novice" in the Dojo.

The twilight mission "The Blessed Village" will also be unlocked.

Return to the world map. You can use the "Starting Point" to level up, access the Shrine, Blacksmith, Dojo (for training missions), Torii Gate (for Co-op), and your storehouse.

It is recommended to complete the training missions and check the Blacksmith for available items. You can buy ammo for your ranged weapon at the Blacksmith.

Select the next Main Mission, "Deep in the Shadows", to proceed.

You will arrive in a cave complex and witness a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) providing background history.

The objective is to search for the missing Kuroda Nagamasa in the caves.

Use the shrine and proceed into the cave. Defeat the bandit in the first room and another in the small area to the right.

Check the right cubby for a chest.

Continue onto a narrow cliff, being careful not to fall. Take out the enemy in the small cubby to the left.

When you reach the railing, look to the room on the left. Block incoming bats and note the body.

Tips

Onryoki Attacks:
- Claw Swipes: A basic melee attack. Dash under his arm or back away to avoid the two swipes.
Ball Throw: Onryoki picks up and throws a giant iron ball. Lock on and dash left or right to dodge, then counter-attack.
Belly Flop: Onryoki performs two claw swipes, then a leaping belly flop. Be ready to dash out of the way, or back up and punish him after the flop.
Leaping Smash: Onryoki grasps his hands, jumps forward, and attempts to smash you. Dodge backward for safety or dodge to the side and punish him.
Grab Attack: A close-up melee move. Dodge away or to the side quickly. If grabbed, he will bite you and throw you to the ground.
