Alright, let's talk about getting around Lost Heaven in style – by taking cars that aren't exactly yours. This section is all about how Tommy gets his hands on vehicles, whether it's for a mission or just for cruising around in Freeride. We'll cover how to steal them, where they get stored, and some important notes about the law.

Obtaining Cars:

At the start of the main story and Freeride, Tommy gets a Falconer Yellowcar. For most main missions, Ralph, the family mechanic, will show Tommy how to steal a specific car. You can also do favors for Lucas Bertone, who'll show you how to steal certain models and where to find others. As you progress, more modern and powerful cars become available. Completing main story missions unlocks more vehicles for Freeride. Plus, beating "Freeride Extreme" missions rewards you with special, unique vehicles that then become available for Freeride.

How to Steal a Vehicle:

To steal a car, stand next to the driver's door and hold down the right mouse button. A progress bar will show how long it takes to pick the lock, which varies by make and model. If you let go of the button, Tommy stops trying. Once unlocked, press the right mouse button again to get in.

Carjacking:

You can also carjack moving vehicles. If a car isn't stopped by traffic, stand in its path for a moment to make it stop. Then, go to the driver's door and press the right mouse button to throw the driver out. You can do the same to passengers if you need them out of the way. Press the right mouse button again to get in.

When You Can Steal:

In main story missions, you can only steal cars the game makes available (like the Falconer Yellowcar), or models Ralph or Lucas have shown you how to steal. If you want to steal any car, you can use the cheat code "cornufse".

In Freeride, you can steal cars made available by the game, through main story missions, or by opening secret doors (check the "Freeride" section). Again, "cornufse" lets you steal any vehicle.

For "Freeride Extreme," you can steal almost any car, except for the special reward vehicles you get for completing its missions. This is because completing the main story missions already makes most cars available.

Important Notes:

• Police: Stealing cars is a crime! Keep an eye out for patrolling police.
• Driver Retaliation: Some drivers will fight back if you try to steal their car, sometimes with a punch, and rarely with a Baseball bat or a Colt Detective Special.

Ralph's Garage:

Vehicles you've been given by Ralph or stolen during missions are stored in the "Garage," which is the lot behind the Salieri Bar. This includes cars Ralph gave you (even if you left them in the city), cars you parked there, and cars you were using when a mission ended without returning to the bar.

Warning: If a vehicle is destroyed during a mission, it's gone forever and won't be in the Garage later. At the end of each mission, you'll see which cars were added to the Garage and which were lost. The Garage has limited space, so if it's full, you'll have to choose which vehicles to discard to make room for new ones.

You can also talk to Ralph during a mission (outside of him teaching you to steal cars) to access a menu for discarding vehicles from the lot and garage.
