Yamata Ruins

Guide to Yamata Ruins in Dark Age of Camelot, detailing item locations, puzzles, and progression to finding the Umbra Map and Tonfon.

In the Yamata Ruins, use the "Move" ability to push a rock off a platform. Then, use Himi's "Search" ability to reveal a unique glitter. Jump to the platform to be transported to another area.

In this new area, the left chest contains the [Masamune], and the right chest holds a [Water of Life]. Proceed to the next room. Here, a tablet explains that both gems must shine for the eye of truth to open. Another tablet in the right room indicates that the crimson gem points towards the one sleeping beneath the land. However, progress is blocked for now.

This section of the guide focuses on the next objective: "Finding the Umbra Gear Map." Normally, you would learn from Tonfon's leaders that Ryu possesses the map and would need to use an Echo Gem to track him. Since we can go directly to him, that step is skipped. You can visit Tonfon (west of Yamata) for additional dialogue snippets. You can also obtain the Echo Gem by distracting guards with "Slap" on the gong and then taking it from the queen's chest.
