Welcome to Yamata City! This place has a really nice vibe with its rice fields and sluice gates. When you first arrive, make sure to chat with the folks on the right side of town. They'll give you a quick rundown of the local geography and history.

You'll learn about Izumo, a village that used to be on Nihan but was wiped out by massive tsunamis. It was also once plagued by a huge dragon known as the Great Serpent, but thankfully, the Warriors of Vale took care of that beast.

Inside the house on the right, you can dive deeper into the Yamata royal family. You might recognize Susa and Kushinada from the earlier games. It turns out their son is off on a world-saving quest, and Himi, their daughter, is said to have some pretty remarkable powers – definitely sounds like an adept to me!

Key Characters and Lore:

• Susa: The King of Yamata, father to Himi and Takeru, and husband to Kushinada. He was a hero in Izumo during his youth. While he was a bit wild back then, he's mellowed out with age and is well-respected by his subjects.
• Kushinada: The Queen of Yamata and mother to Himi and Takeru. She's been leading constant prayer vigils since Himi fell ill. In her younger days, she was chosen by lottery to be sacrificed to a monster but was thankfully saved by the Warriors of Vale.
• Takeru: This courageous warrior is the prince of Yamata and heir apparent, son of Susa and Kushinada. After his sister Himi had a vision of the world in danger, he set out on an important mission abroad.
• Himi: The young daughter of Susa and Kushinada. She's rumored to possess remarkable powers.
