In 'The War in the West,' players take on the role of the Allied commander tasked with liberating Western Europe from Soviet occupation. The mission typically begins with a relatively small base and limited resources, necessitating rapid expansion and efficient resource management. The initial phase involves establishing a secure perimeter and expanding your Tiberium harvesting operations. You'll likely face initial waves of Soviet infantry and light vehicles, so having a few Grizzly Tanks and some Riflemen on patrol is advisable. The map often features multiple Soviet bases and key strategic points that must be captured. These points might include ore fields, defensive strongholds, or communication arrays that provide intel. The Soviets will heavily defend these locations, often employing a mix of tanks, artillery, and infantry.
