Welcome, Comrade! The Counterstrike expansion brings new challenges and opportunities for the glorious Soviet war machine. These missions will test your tactical prowess and strategic thinking. Prepare to crush the Allied forces!

Mission 1: The Iron Curtain's Embrace

Your objective is to establish a forward operating base and neutralize the Allied radar installations that are tracking our movements. This mission emphasizes rapid expansion and defense.

• Initial Setup: You begin with a Construction Yard, a Power Plant, and a Barracks. Immediately deploy your Construction Yard and begin building a Refinery.
• Resource Gathering: Send your starting Harvester to the nearest Ore field. Prioritize building a second Harvester as soon as possible to accelerate your economy.
• Early Defense: Expect light Allied attacks from the west. Build a few Flak Cannons near your base perimeter to deter their aircraft and deploy a handful of Attack Dogs to scout and defend against infantry.
• Radar Elimination: Once your economy is stable, produce a small force of 3-4 Medium Tanks and 2-3 V2 Rocket Launchers. The Allied radar installations are typically lightly defended. Use your Medium Tanks to draw fire while the V2 Rocket Launchers destroy the radar dishes from a distance. There are usually two radar installations, one to the northwest and another to the southwest of your starting position.
• Reinforcements: After destroying the first radar, you may receive a small contingent of additional Medium Tanks. Use these to bolster your assault force for the second radar.

Mission 2: Subterranean Sabotage

In this mission, you must infiltrate an Allied research facility and steal their experimental technology. Stealth and precise unit control are key.

• Infiltration Point: You start with a small group of Engineers and a handful of Flamethrower infantry. Move your Engineers cautiously along the northern edge of the map.
• Neutralizing Patrols: Allied Light Tanks and Grenadiers patrol the area. Use your Flamethrower infantry to quickly eliminate any infantry threats. For Light Tanks, try to lure them into range of your Engineers, who can capture them if you're quick and careful, or use your Flamethrowers to damage them before retreating.
• Facility Access: The research facility is located towards the center of the map, heavily guarded by Pillboxes and a Tesla Coil. Look for a less-guarded entrance, often a small gap in the perimeter walls on the eastern side.
• Capturing the Tech: Once inside, use your Engineers to capture the Allied Barracks and War Factory first. This will allow you to produce your own units within the enemy base. Then, capture the main research lab building (often a large structure with a distinctive antenna) to complete the objective.
• Escape Route: After securing the technology, a new objective will appear: escape with your Engineers. A transport helicopter will arrive at a designated landing zone, usually on the western side of the map. Clear a path for your Engineers to reach it.

Mission 3: The Bear's Fury

This mission is a full-scale assault on a heavily fortified Allied base. You will have access to advanced Soviet technology, including the mighty Mammoth Tank.

• Base Building: You start with a well-established base. Immediately begin producing Mammoth Tanks and Tesla Coils for defense. The Allies will launch significant counter-attacks.
• Resource Management: Ensure you have at least 3-4 Harvesters operating constantly. Consider building an additional Refinery if resources are plentiful.
• Defensive Perimeter: Place Tesla Coils strategically around your base, especially on approaches from the south and east. Support them with Flak Cannons to counter Allied air superiority.
• Offensive Push: Once you have a force of 6-8 Mammoth Tanks, supported by 2-3 V2 Rocket Launchers, begin your assault. The main Allied base is located to the east.
• Target Priorities: Focus your V2 Rocket Launchers on Allied defenses like Pillboxes, Turrets, and Advanced Power Plants. Use your Mammoth Tanks to destroy their War Factories and Construction Yard to cripple their production.
• Air Support: If you have access to MiG fighters, use them to clear the skies of Allied Orca gunships and bombers, which can be devastating to your ground forces.
• Final Blow: Systematically dismantle the Allied base, ensuring no enemy structures remain. The mission concludes once all Allied buildings are destroyed.
