You'll fall down a pit and need to climb back up to grab the Propeller Box (an item that allows you to fly upwards). From there, propel yourself onto the platform on your left.

Hit the Koopa Troopa before the Goombas and then hit its shell towards them. The shell will eventually hit all five of them and give you a 1-Up.

Star Coin Alert! #1

At the base of the wall in the far left corner where the pool of water containing the five Goombas is, there's a brick block. Break it with a tail spin or a roll and then crawl into the small hole there. Crawl to the back, collect the Star Coin and then crawl back out of the hole.

Continue right, dodging the Green Shell if need be. Jump up the rubber platform and onto one of the rotating platforms that contains a coin. If you really want to, you can drop down when you're at the top of the rotation to stomp the Piranha Plants for extra coins. The two brick blocks contain a coin each too. Jump up onto the platform above by jumping on the rubber platform. Pwn the Biddybuds (small, chick-like enemies) collect the coins and then move north and jump onto the first rubber platform. Hop to the one north of it and then from there up onto the rainbow note block on your right. If you still have the Propeller Box, simply propel yourself and hover straight to the rainbow note block. Press 'A' as you land on it and shoot up into the air.

3D Recommended Area: If 3D isn't on, it's recommended that you turn it on now. Grab the coins that spell out '3D' and then jump onto the rubber platform. Keep following the platforms and coins. When you reach the three rubber platforms, jump onto the right one. It's above the cloud platform you'll be on so there's no chance of falling to your death if you miss it. From there jump to the top one and then onto the cloud platform past that. As long as you still have your Propeller Box, you can use its hover feature and the position of your shadow to make sure you land each jump. When you reach the end, jump into the air, grab the Star Coin and let yourself fall.

You'll land near the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag (a flag that saves your progress). Grab it and the coins circling it. Before collecting the last Star Coin, move more north-east to the Koopa Troopa and five Biddybuds. Stomp the Koopa Troopa and then kick its shell directly north to defeat the five Biddybuds and gain a 1-Up.

Move back to the Checkpoint Flag and then jump to your left (you may need to propel yourself to actually reach the other ledge if you don't jump from right at the edge) and hop inside the cannon. From inside the cannon, look right and up and you should see the Star Coin. Aim straight at it (you're close enough to it to make gravity's effect negligible so there's no compensation needed) and fire! You'll grab it and land on the platform behind it. Careful not to aim to the left too much otherwise you might end up flying off of the left side of the platform and dying.

Hit the brick blocks near where you've landed (if you've landed on the second level, you'll need to jump down to the bottom one). Move right and jump through the red ring above the Chain Chomp. Collect the red coins, but be very careful not to let the Chain Chomp touch you. When you've gotten all five, you'll get a Fire Flower (an item that lets you shoot fireballs). Jump up to the next floor using the rubber platform on the right side or the brick blocks on the left. Once you're on this level, clear out the two Piranha Plants (plant enemies that bite), hit the ? Block (a block that contains items) on the left for coins and hit the Spiky Plant with a fireball if you can. Jump up the rubber platform on the left for a Green Clock (an item that adds time to the level timer). Jump down and jump up the right rubber platform to continue. Hit the brick block multiple times for coins and deal with the two Para-Biddybuds that fly down the path.

Jump over the Spiky Plant or destroy it with a fireball if you can. Stomp or shoot fireballs at the four Para-Biddybuds and jump down off of the main path to collect the three Blue Clocks (items that add time to the level timer). Jump back on and keep running up around the tree. Up ahead is a line of five Para-Biddybuds. Try and stomp them all without touching the ground. If you do - another free 1-Up!! At the top of the path, shoot a fireball or dodge the Spiky Plant and get up into the hollow of the tree. Hit the ? Block and continue right. Jump from the rubber platform into the air. Try and stomp all five Para-Biddybuds followed by grabbing the top of the Goal Pole (the end of the level). If you manage it, that's two 1-Ups! You might need to wait for the front of the line to come around so it's between you and the Goal Pole to make it easier. You'll need to press 'A' as you jump off of the rubber platform to get a big enough jump and then again just as you stomp the last Para-Biddybud to jump high enough to reach the top of the Goal Pole.
