Back up to create space, then run straight underneath the first and two following Thwomps, moving out from under each before it slams down. Grab the Blue Clock as you pass.

Stomp the Draglet at the end if desired, then perform a running jump onto a chain platform, preferably one further north.

Wait on this platform; you move fast enough across the lava that the Cosmic Clone (an enemy that mimics your movements with a delay) doesn't catch up. You may need to nudge around the platform to keep the clone from touching you. Grab the Blue Clock as you move by it.

Jump to the platform at the end before the platform you're on sinks into the lava.

Run north and jump over the small gap. Podoboos (fireballs that jump out of lava) jump alternately: one in the center, then two to either side. Judge your timing to jump over the correct Podoboo.

Star Coin Alert! #2 Once you jump, run and walk left as slowly as possible without the Cosmic Clone catching you. Anticipate when the next platform will appear from the lava and jump accordingly so you land on it as it appears. Don't move; let the platform float left. The first Thwomp will slam down before you reach it. When it does, wall jump (jump off a wall) off its side and up into the Star Coin. You'll grab it and jump over the Cosmic Clone. Then, run underneath the clone and Thwomp as the Thwomp moves back up and the clone jumps over you. Keep running under the second Thwomp and jump onto the platform at the end.

Stomp the Draglet, watching out for its fireballs.

Continue on and grab the next Blue Clock.

Watch out for the hammers thrown by the Hammer Bro and stomp it.

Jump onto the wooden platform and move towards the next one. Podoboos will jump in the gap between the two platforms in a wave from north to south; there are three in total. Judge your position and timing accordingly and jump to the next platform.

Move onto the floating platforms. Run to the right side and grab the Blue Clock there. Move north as you move right to counteract the platforms moving south.

Move directly north, jumping to move quicker. Jump over any gaps and keep moving north until you are left of the stable platform. Move onto it, grabbing the Blue Clock as you do.

Star Coin Alert! #3 Move left and turn north at the corner. Move up onto the main platform with one pillar at the south-west corner and three pillars along the north edge. Run along the left and middle of the pillars along the north edge. The Cosmic Clone will run by and destroy them. The left pillar contains the final Star Coin and the middle a coin. Loop around and grab the Star Coin and coin, then jump over the gap, making sure you don't hit the two Podoboos alternating jumps out of the lava.

Move to the left side of the current platform and grab the Blue Clock there.

Destroy the pillar in the north-west corner for a coin if you wish, then continue right. The three pillars on the right part of the platform all contain a coin each. Destroy them, grab the coins, and move onto the wooden bridge they were blocking.

Destroy the pillar on this bridge, circle around and grab the coin from it if you wish, then jump to the bridge to the north.

Grab the Blue Clock there and jump right.

Run by the three pillars on the right edge of this section of bridge and the Cosmic Clone will follow and destroy them. Grab the coin dropped by the middle pillar and jump to the next and last section of bridge.

Run by the three pillars here to get the Cosmic Clone to destroy them too and grab the coin dropped by the southern one.

Jump onto the platform and grab the Green Clock for 100 Time. The Cosmic Clone will disappear.

Move into the castle and continue right until you reach the Warp Box (a box that transports you to another location). Enter it to warp.

You'll warp to the roof of the castle. Jump up the crate steps on the left until you're at the top one. Take a running jump off the right edge of the crate and onto the top of the Goal Pole for a 1-Up.

This course is a time trial course, beginning with 30 seconds. You must collect Blue Clocks to extend your time.

Jump onto the first chain platform. Jump to the next chain platform.

Jump onto the ? Block and Ground Pound (jump and press down) it to get a Boomerang Flower. You will need to be Boomerang Mario for the second and third Star Coins.

Move to the next platform, grab the Blue Clock, and jump onto the stable platform beyond.

Move past the Dry Bones and jump onto the brick blocks to grab the Blue Clock. Ground Pound the middle block to get a coin.

Continue and jump onto the chain cylinder. Move to the far side to make it start rolling, and keep moving towards the other side to stop yourself from falling into the lava.
