BOSS #1: YAWN

This snake is tough, so be prepared! The difficulty is rated VERY HARD for a reason.

  • Strategy: Spend the first part of the fight just focusing on dodging Yawn's attacks. It mainly lunges with its mouth, so keep moving!
  • Phase 2: About halfway through the battle, Richard will show up to help. Keep dodging Yawn while Richard is around.
  • Phase 3: Richard will eventually leave the fight. If you're running low on ammo, look for the ASSAULT SHOTGUN on the floor. Grab it and then run to the back of the room. You'll find DEATH MASK II there – grab it quickly!
  • Escape: After grabbing the mask, just exit the room. You've survived Yawn for now!

  • Always keep moving during the Yawn fight. Standing still is a death sentence.
  • Make sure you have the Grenade Launcher before heading to the Right Stairs Save Room. It makes dealing with the Crimson Head much easier.
