AVOIDING LISA

Learn how to survive encounters with the invincible Lisa Trevor in Resident Evil. Strategies for both Chris and Jill to overcome this tragic foe.

Lisa Trevor is one of the most tragic figures in Resident Evil. Due to decades of horrific experimentation with various viruses, she's become virtually invincible and incredibly dangerous. You can't kill her with conventional weapons; her only vulnerabilities are self-inflicted or environmental. Here's how to get past her during the final encounters.

Strategy for Chris

This strategy applies only to the final battle with Lisa.

The quickest way to end this fight is to push the large stones off the edge of the platform. Wesker will provide covering fire, giving you enough time to get the job done. If Lisa gets too close, a couple of shotgun blasts should push her back. Once the last stone is pushed over, a cutscene will play, and Lisa will throw herself into the chasm, ending the encounter.

Alternatively, you can try to make Lisa fall. Stand on the platform near the chasm and blast Lisa with your shotgun. She might jump to the edge of the platform at the start of the fight. If this happens, keep shooting her, and she'll eventually fall into the chasm.

Strategy for Jill

This strategy applies only to the final battle with Lisa.

First, push the bottom-left stone down into the pit. If Lisa gets too close, Barry will shoot her, but this will draw her attention to him. If Barry gets hit, he could die, jeopardizing the best ending. If you see Lisa targeting Barry, quickly shoot her once to make her turn back to you. Next, push the stone on the right side of the platform. Then, head for the upper-right stone and push it down. Finally, go for the last stone. Lisa will suddenly appear behind Jill, so don't wait for her attack – quickly push the final statue down. The coffin lid will open, and Lisa will yell 'Mother!' before committing suicide by jumping into the chasm.

Method II for Jill

You'll be fighting near a large pit, so falling off is a real danger. Take out your shotgun and start firing at Lisa. She might jump to the edge of the platform early in the battle. If she does, keep shooting her, and she'll fall into the chasm. Barry's assistance can make this easier; Lisa will slip and fall into the chasm. Game over.
