Learn how to defeat Plant 42 in Resident Evil HD Remaster. Includes strategies for both Jill's and Chris's campaigns, including how to avoid the fight entirely.

Alternate Strategy (Jill's Campaign):

1. Before entering Plant 42's area, pick up the Lighter and clear three inventory slots.
2. Enter the Employee Lounge. Find a red lamp, light it, and note its color and symbol. Repeat with the green lamp (by the bar) and orange lamp (by the pool table). Note the colors and numbers of the pool balls: Red=3, Orange=5, Green=6.
3. Go to the Gallery. Examine the keypad next to the first door on the left. Enter the code derived from the lamps and pool balls.
4. Prepare the V-Jolt herbicide:
• Fill one empty bottle with water.
• Fill a second bottle with UMB No. 3 from a yellow jar. Mix water and UMB No. 3 to create NP-004.
• Collect Yellow-6 and mix it with NP-004 to create UMB No. 10.
• Collect more water and Yellow-6. Mix them to create UMB No. 7.
• Combine UMB No. 7 and UMB No. 10 to create VP-017.
• Collect more UMB No. 3 and mix it to create V-Jolt.
5. Take the V-Jolt to the basement and proceed to the control room (use the Water Rooms to access it).
6. Go up the ladder and out the door. Eliminate the shark with a handgun shot if it bothers you.
7. Enter the Guard Room next to the shark and walk into Plant 42's roots (they won't harm you).
8. Use the V-Jolt on Plant 42. Discard the bottles.
9. When you enter Plant 42's domain, Barry will appear and finish the plant, saving you ammo and health.
