Follow this Resident Evil walkthrough to escape the Mansion, rescue Chris, and defeat the Tyrant II. Includes steps for Barry's survival and key item locations.

Walkthrough

    Go to Wesker's unconscious body and grab William Birkin's diary. If Barry survived, wake him up and head to the desk at the end of the room to unlock the door. If Barry did not survive, grab the MASTER KEY and leave.

    Run to the elevator in the TYRANT ENTRANCE ROOM. If Barry is still alive, the self-destruct system will activate. If Barry did not survive, you can return to the LABORATORY ENTRANCE to end the game. If you still want to save Chris, follow the next orders.

    Run to the O ROOM.

    Run to LAB HALL 1.

    Head for the 3 green switches and flip them. Head through the door.

    Run down the stairs in the PRISON TUNNEL to the door at the end. Head through. If the self-destruct system did not activate, use the MASTER KEY to unlock the door.

    Talk to Chris in the JAIL CELL. Then leave.

    Head back through the PRISON TUNNEL.

    Head to the O ROOM.

    Head to the STAIRS.

    Head up the stairs and through the door.

    SAVE in the LABORATORY SAVE ROOM. Then head up the ladder.

    Head for the double locked doors in the LABORATORY ENTRANCE.

    Run through the ESCAPE TUNNEL. Grab the FIRST AID BOXES and open them. Grab the FUSE UNIT and ride the elevator. There are only 3 minutes until detonation if Barry is still alive.

    Grab the SIGNAL ROCKETS on the MANSION ROOF and USE it.

Boss Fight: TYRANT II

After the cut-scene, grab your MAGNUM or ACID ROUNDS. Start shooting the Tyrant and dodging its attacks. One hit can bring you down to Caution. Barry will assist you.

Once Brad drops the ROCKET LAUNCHER, Barry will be strangled. Shoot a rocket at the Tyrant to end the game.

Alternate Ending Note: For a different ending, you can allow Barry to be killed. Have the Tyrant strangle him, and then have it stab Barry with its claw.
