Relic Passage (via PWT)

A complete walkthrough for the Relic Passage in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, detailing wild Pokémon, trainer battles, and item locations.

This section covers the Relic Passage, accessible via the Pokémon World Tournament (PWT) side. Surf is required after the Plasma Frigate, and the Super Rod is needed post-game for certain encounters.

Wild Pokémon

In Cave (Surf Required):

In Dust Cloud (Surf Required):

In Surf (Surf Required):

• Marill (Water) - 30%
• Red Basculin (Water) - 70%
• Blue Basculin (Water) - 70%

In Rippling Water (Surf Required):

• Marill (Water) - 60%
• Red Basculin (Water) - 35%
• Blue Basculin (Water) - 35%
• Azumarill (Water) - 5%

In Super Rod (Post-game):

• Poliwag (Water) - 70%
• Red Basculin (Water) - 30%
• Blue Basculin (Water) - 30%

In Rippling Water (Super Rod Required):

• Poliwhirl (Water) - 65%
• Poliwrath (Water/Fighting) - 5%

Relic Passage (PWT Side) - First Area

1. Head south and talk to the Worker by the west wall.
2. Continue south down the stairs.
3. Take the west path to find a Backpacker. Initiate a battle.
   • Trainer Battle: Backpacker
     • Sandslash (Level 32, Ground)
4. Follow the path to the stairs, go down them.
5. Take the northern of the two paths leading east (southern path is blocked).
6. Follow the wider path north to an intersection.
7. Challenge the male Backpacker.
   • Trainer Battle: Backpacker
     • Raticate (Level 32, Normal)
8. After the battle, head east to find a Protein.
9. Head back west, then south to the intersection.
10. Take the east path to find a Hiker.
    • Trainer Battle: Hiker
      • Drilbur (Level 31, Ground)
      • Roggenrola (Level 31, Rock)
11. Press east past the Hiker. You'll reach a doorway leading to another area. Enter it.

Relic Passage (PWT Side) - Second Area

1. Head south down the stairs, then east.
2. Encounter another Hiker.
   • Trainer Battle: Hiker
     • Roggenrola (Level 31, Rock)
     • Timburr (Level 31, Fighting)
3. Head south past the Hiker.
4. At the bottom, head west to find a rock containing a Blue Shard.
5. Head east past the path leading north. Turn on your Dowsing MCHN to find a hidden Max Repel in the water.
6. Head back north to the Hiker and take the path east.
7. When you reach two paths leading south, take one. You'll find a Psychic.
   • Trainer Battle: Psychic
     • Swoobat (Level 33, Psychic/Flying)
8. Move south past the Psychic to find another rock with a Green Shard.
9. Take the path east. You'll reach two paths, one north and one south.
10. North path: Leads to Relic Castle.
11. South path: Leads to the rest of Relic Passage, connecting to Castelia City Sewers. Take the southern path.
12. The path forks into three. Take the western-most path to find a female Backpacker and a rock with a Yellow Shard.
    • Trainer Battle: Backpacker
      • Watchog (Level 32, Normal)
13. To return to Castelia Sewers, continue south and follow the path to stairs. Go up and through the doorway.

Relic Passage (Castelia Sewers Side)

1. Follow the path until you reach a ledge and a boulder. Use Strength to push the boulder into the hole to the west.
2. Take the path north. You will eventually reach a doorway leading back to the second area of Relic Passage (PWT Side).
3. This area contains: Ultra Ball, Rare Candy, Rocky Helmet, and a hidden Rock Gem.
4. To access a Max Repel, jump over the western-most of the three ledges. You will be forced to jump over the next ledge into the main area below.
