Learn about Battle Subway formats, banned pokemon, and rewards in pokemon black white 2. Earn Battle Points (BP) for prizes.

Battle Format:

In the Battle Subway, you select a number of Pokemon for your party based on the chosen battle type. All participating Pokemon are set to Level 50, regardless of their original level. This ensures a balanced playing field, preventing overpowered Pokemon from dominating. However, certain Pokemon, primarily Legendaries, are banned from use. After selecting your team, you proceed to battle trainers consecutively.

In Normal Version battles, you must win 21 consecutive battles to complete the type. Super Version and Wi-Fi battles continue indefinitely. Between battles, your Pokemon are healed, and you have the option to retire. Winning battles earns rewards in the form of Battle Points (BP).

Participation Rewards:

Battle Points (BP) are awarded based on your progress. The further you advance, the greater the BP reward. BP can be exchanged for prizes at the counters of all Train Lines, except the Brown Train Line. The left and right women at each counter offer different wares, but the selection is the same across all counters. BP is not earned linearly in most modes, with the exception of Wi-Fi battles. You earn BP every seven games won during a single attempt, with the amount varying based on your progression. BP earned from the Pokemon World Tournament and the Battle Subway are interchangeable and can be spent on identical prizes at either location.

Battle Points Awarded:

  • 7 Wins: Normal 3 BP, Super 5 BP, Wi-Fi 10 BP
  • 14 Wins: Normal 6 BP, Super 11 BP, Wi-Fi 20 BP
  • 21 Wins: Normal 16 BP, Super 18 BP, Wi-Fi 30 BP
  • 28 Wins: Super 26 BP, Wi-Fi 40 BP
  • 35 Wins: Super 35 BP, Wi-Fi 50 BP
  • 42 Wins: Super 45 BP, Wi-Fi 60 BP
  • 49 Wins: Super 75 BP, Wi-Fi 70 BP

Battle Types:

  • Single Battle: You use one Pokemon at a time against an opponent.
  • Double Battle: You use two Pokemon at a time against an opponent.
  • Multi Battle: You and a partner (a friend via local wireless or the other main character) use two Pokemon each against two trainers. If playing with the other main character, you can direct their party's play-style.
  • Wi-Fi Battle: Single Battles against trainers downloaded via Wi-Fi.

Super Versions of these battle types are more difficult due to stronger opponents. After defeating the Pokemon League, the Super Version unlocks for the Normal Version you've beaten. The 21st Battle in Normal Versions and the 49th Battle in Super Versions are against Subway Bosses and are significantly tougher.
