Keeper Secrets walkthrough: Find treasure rooms, get the Horned Reaper, and research spells like Lightning.
Walkthrough
- 1Immediately dig to the right in the northernmost part of your existing dungeon to find an unclaimed Treasure room. Claim it to gain the gold within.
- 2The locked door below the Treasure room contains a free Torture room and an unallied Horned Reaper(8). Claim the Horned Reaper and place it in a partially built library. If it becomes angry, give it gold until you can build a Temple.
- 3Option 1: Dig north from the Treasure room to find a large lake with gold and two gem blocks. Plunder the gold and gems.
- 4Option 2: Research the bridge and build a path to the hero tile to the northwest. Break the door, pull out troops, and send 1-2 expendable Imps(1) to clear the 2 Boulders. Do NOT break the door to the right yet, as it contains Witches & Monks. The doors to the left contain a free Temple; place your Horned Reaper there. Claim all ground tiles and break through the north wall. Dig east to create a fortified vertical corridor on the east wall to prevent contact with the blue Keeper.
- 5Option 3: Claim the portal to get creatures and train them using the two Gem blocks. Ensure you have enough Imps for digging.
- 6Option 4: Dig east from the topmost tile in the Treasure room until you reach the topmost gold block. A path leads to an unaligned prison. Triggering an action point here generates 5 Dwarves(5) in the nearby lake, which your Horned Reaper can defeat. Claim the prison and the creatures within: Skeleton(6), Wizard(6), Troll(7), 2x Imp(8), & Fairy(9).
- 7Option 5: With the Torture Room and Prison, set Imprisoning to "on" and dig into the western inlet. Convert the 5 Samurai, give them a separate lair, and claim the 2 Warlocks past the lava lake.
- 8Option 6: East of the prison and right of the Portal, defeat 2 Boulders and Thieves/Archers. Convert Thieves and train them to become Knights. Let archers starve in prison. Claim the free Workshop containing 3 trap crates (2 Boulders, 1 Lightning).
- 9Option 7: North of the barricade corridor, dig into the "+" shaped room and defeat 4 Wizards(7) to obtain the "Lightning" spell book.
- 10Option 8: In the far west of the lake, defeat 3 Barbarians(5) & 2x Wizard(5) to get the Resurrect Creature special. Use it on a level 10 Thief to get another Knight, or revive a sacrificed Mistress.
- 11Seal the entrance with a locked door, build a bridge to the northwestern hero door, break through, and extend a bridge along the river north. Remove poison gas traps. Drop and pick up an Imp to extend vision to the end of the path and defeat the weak Fairies(5).
Tips
- Play this level aggressively to retrieve all hidden treasures before the blue Keeper.
- The blue Keeper starts with Warlocks, giving him a research advantage.
- Do not head to the western inlets too early, as the heroes are too strong and you want to convert them.
- The lake itself is free to take.
- There is significant leeway to lock up your adversary and prevent expansion.
- The Temple is good for keeping your Horned Reaper.
- Use Temple sacrifices to get more than 16 Imps at minimal cost.
- Digging lower than the topmost gold block in the eastern seam will lead to weak archers/thieves.
- Convert and train Monks as they are powerful.
- Use Bile Demons to dispose of Witches with their Wind attacks.
- Sell trap crates if desired.
- Use the "Lightning" spell for remaining battles.
