Learn how to use doors and traps strategically in Keeper to control enemy movement and protect your rooms. Discover locking mechanics and placement tips.
All doors in Keeper share the same properties. Each type of door is progressively stronger and more resistant to enemy attacks before it breaches. You can use doors to separate rooms or to keep opponents out of an area for a little while.
Putting a trap just in front of or behind a door (like a Boulder trap) can be a very strategic thing to do.
To lock a door, hover over it with your cursor and click on it. If successful, a small key icon will be depicted over the door, signifying that none of your creatures will attempt to pass through it. This is useful for restricting creatures from entering certain areas as per your command.
Warning: There is a known glitch where doors have sale values, but no gold value appears when you sell them. Keeping track of the actual gold counter shows how much they are actually worth.
- Place traps strategically in front of or behind doors to catch enemies.
- Use locked doors to create barriers and control creature pathing.
- Be aware of the door selling glitch and track your gold manually.
