- 1Start Act 2 as a boat. Navigate through water areas using kelp ramps.
- 2In Clapperclaw Cove, follow the water to a kelp ramp, then take a left into a cave.
- 3In Slime Grotto, break through blockades by dashing (A) and focus light on Wither sacs to clear paths.
- 4Follow the linear path, breaking Wither sacs and blockades to progress.
- 5In Molter Run, follow the whales using the L-Stick to move back and forth.
- 6In The Coral Sanctum, dock at the pink coral house to pick up creatures.
- 7Send Twig to lift a gate by using the L-Stick and R-Stick simultaneously.

- 9Sail right of the big coral island, break blockades, and focus light on a flower to earn the 'Guardians of the Sea' achievement.

- 11Light red/orange corals to draw crabs, then dock to pick up another critter.

- 13Deliver all four critters to the main island to get a fuse. Send Twig to collect it (L-Stick to tug).
- 14Bring the fuse to the device behind the main island, slot it in (X), and clear Wither roots with the powered light. Sail over the kelp ramp.
- 15In The Lock Keeper, slot the first fuse into the machine's power device (X).
- 16Sail back to the left, use Twig (X) and the L-Stick to move a water-filled claw over a crab, then focus light on the claw to free a critter.
- 17Focus your light on the eye below the large light near the gold gate to open it.
- 18Inside the cave, break a Wither sac to find a fuse. Send Twig to collect it (L-Stick to tug).
- 19Break Wither sacs on the left side of the cave to free another critter.
