Vyraal

Speak with the Viera Wayfarer at Balfonheim Port: The Whitecap to accept the hunt.

Travel to the Cerobi Steppe, specifically The Northsward area. The Viera Wayfarer will join you as an NPC (non-player character) and provide buffs.

Head north from your arrival point in The Northsward, past the windmills, to find Vyraal.

Vyraal has 106,616 HP and is weak to Wind. It can inflict Confuse and uses Haste and Immobilizega magicks. Its technicks include Fireball, Lunge, Magick Barrier, Restore, and Sonic Fangs.

Equip Bowline Sashes to mitigate Confuse.

Consider a party composition with a Black Mage (using Aeroga) and a Bushi (wielding Ame-no-Murakumo) as a tank. A Shikari with the Zwill Crossblade or a White Mage are also viable options.

Cast Decoy on your Bushi and have them lead the way to Vyraal.

Apply Protect and Bubble buffs to your Bushi.

Once engaged, switch to your Black Mage and cast Blind and Silence on Vyraal.

Use Aeroga spells to deal damage.

Be aware that Vyraal may flee when damaged and return with restored HP. It can also use Magick Barrier to defend against magick attacks. If this happens, switch to a physical attacker like a Shikari or equip a melee weapon to your Black Mage/Monk.

Vyraal attacks instantly when near death and ignores your Evade stat, so prepare to endure its assaults.

After defeating Vyraal, the Viera Wayfarer will thank you and you will receive your rewards.
