Anubys

Alright, so you've made it to the Hunt Club section and are looking to take down Anubys. This guy's a Trophy Rare Game, meaning he's a bit tougher than your average mob. You'll find him chilling in the Sochen Cave Palace, specifically in the Mirror of the Soul area. To even get a shot at him, you'll need to have figured out that tricky waterfall puzzle in Sochen Cave Palace first. Once that's done, make your way to the Falls of Time zone using one of the western exits in Mirror of the Soul. Cross the bridge to the central island, then take the southern exit back into Mirror of the Soul. Now, look for the Pilgrim's Door – it's a bit weird on the mini-map, just a sliver, but head through it. The room beyond is octagonal, and as you approach the center, Anubys will drop from the ceiling, ready for a fight.

Strategy

When you actually get into the fight with Anubys, he's not too much of a challenge, especially considering he's a Rare Game. He's only in his mid-30s level-wise and has just under 20,000 HP. His regular attacks can inflict Confuse, which is annoying, but his other special moves are Eerie Soundwave, Gnaw, and Leech. He's completely immune to Sleep, so don't bother trying that. However, he can be afflicted with Oil, so if you've got some Fire-based attacks or items, now's a good time to use them! Remember, he's weak to Holy damage, so load up your party with Holy-aligned weapons or spells. He also absorbs Dark, so definitely avoid using any Dark attacks on him.

Once you manage to defeat this guy, you'll be rewarded with an Ensanguined Trophy. Nice!
