Navigate the snowy Paramina Rift in final fantasy xii Chapter 4. Learn about enemies like the White Wolf and Skull Knight, and find loot like the Paramina Crossbow.

When you exit the Golmore Jungle you’ll find yourself in the snowy, inhospitable, wind-swept environs of the Paramina Rift. The first area is pretty tame, consisting only of some unimportant NPCs you can talk to and a Save Crystal. You’ll have to pass through these frozen lands to reach Mt. Bur-Omisace.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Make your way northeast of the Save Crystal to find an area transition leading to the Head of the Silverflow zone.
  2. 2
Here you’ll find new foes: the White Wolf, Wild Onion, Skull Knight, Slaven Warder and Lizard.
  3. 3
Continue east from the western end of this level to explore and collect loot.

Enemies in Paramina Rift:

  • White Wolf: Levels in the mid-twenties, slightly higher Attack Power and HP than Golmore Jungle foes. Can use Sonic Fangs (chance to inflict instant KO) and physical attacks can inflict Poison. Their Screech attack can inflict Confuse. Drops: Ice Magicite, Phoenix Down, Tanned Hide, Quality Pelt. Steal: Ice Stone, Quality Pelt, Paramina Crossbow. Poach: Tanned Hide, Quality Pelt. Weak to Lightning.
  • Wild Onion: Docile, but if provoked, use white magicks like Cura, Protect, Shell, and technicks like Vespersong and Warsong. Drops: Succulent Fruit, Wind Magicite, Antidote, Float Mote. Steal: Wind Magicite, Phoenix Down, Succulent Fruit. Poach: Succulent Fruit, Healing Rod. Weak to Earth.
  • Skull Knight: Undead variant with nearly 2,000 HP. Can inflict Slow and Blind with attacks like Dark, Bone Toss, Lunge, and Tremor. Harmed by curatives. Drops: Sturdy Bone, Dark Magicite, Hi-Potion, Remedy. Steal: Sturdy Bone, Capricorn Gem, Jujitsu Gi (Light Armor 6). Poach: Sturdy Bone. Weak to Holy, absorbs Dark.
  • Slaven Warder: Weaker than other creatures in the area. Uses Protect and Shell magicks. Attacks: Gnaw, Spinkick (area-of-effect). Drops: Fire Magicite, Gold Needle, Tanned Giantskin, White Fang. Steal: 10 Gil, Gemini Gem, Headband. Poach: Tanned Giantskin, Slaven Harness. Weak to Water.
  • Lizard: Over 2,000 HP. Uses Angelsong (approximates Regen) and Magick Ballad (heals fully). Drops: Pointed Horn, Horn, Fire Magicite, Fire Crystal. Steal: Fire Magicite, Pointed Horn, Fire Crystal. Poach: Pointed Horn, Taurus Gem. Weak to Water.
Tips
  • White Wolves can be annoying if their Screech attack Confuses your party members. Focus on them quickly or use items to cure Confuse.
  • The Paramina Crossbow can be stolen from White Wolves.
  • Skull Knights are undead and weak to Holy.
  • Wild Onions are better healers than attackers.
  • The Slaven Warder and Lizard are weak to Water.
