Complete trophy guide for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, covering Lord of the Kings (Behemoth King) and Hunter Extraordinaire (Yiazmat) hunts.
Walkthrough
- 1Lord of the Kings (Behemoth King):
- Unlock: Available from Montblanc (Riskbreaker rank) after visiting Balfonheim post-Giruvegan.
- 2Location: The Feywood, The Edge of Reason.
- 3Spawning Conditions: Defeat the Giruveganus and all 29 enemies in Ice Field of Clearsight. Return to Edge of Reason; Behemoth King should spawn where Giruveganus was. If not, check Ice Field of Clearsight for respawned enemies.
- 4Trial Mode: Stage 90.
- 5Stats: Around Level 70, high HP. Not vulnerable to ailments. Halves all elemental magicks.
- 6Abilities: Starts with magicks (Holy, Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Darkga, Ardor). Later uses physical or magickal palings. Physical paling: uses magicks. Magickal paling: uses physical attacks and White Breath (can inflict Stop). Cycles between palings. Uses Growing Threat to double level when low on HP.
- 7Strategy: Dispel buffs at the start. Adjust strategy based on active paling. Use non-elemental magicks like Shock.
- 8Reward: 500,000 Gil and a Rod of Faith (obtain by visiting a wyrm statue in Mt. Bur-Omisace after the fight, unequipping Vaan's weapon, and getting close enough).
- 9Hunter Extraordinaire (Yiazmat):
- Unlock: Finish most Rank VII hunts (excluding Shadowseer), reach Knight of the Round clan rank, and defeat Hell Wyrm.
- 10Location: Speakeasy (Rabanastre).
- 11Trial Mode: Stage 98 (less HP than normal).
- 12Stats: Normal version has 50 million HP; Trial Mode version has ~3.7 million HP. Small chance of KO with normal attacks.
- 13Abilities: Uses various strategies at HP thresholds. Death Strike (100% KO, halved by Shell) used when target is out of range, starts around 60% HP. Cyclone (wind-elemental, can inflict Sap) at set intervals. White Breath (can inflict Stop). Stone Breath (can inflict Petrify). Uses Growing Threat on himself when low on HP. Uses Reflectga on party when very low on HP. Combo rate increases when low on HP.
- 14Strategy: Battle of attrition. Weak to dark, absorbs holy, halves other elements. Yagyu Darkblade is effective. Dispel his buffs (Protect, Bravery, Faith, Regen) upon return to arena. Exit arena quickly if he casts Regen before you leave. Have Shell active to mitigate Death Strike. Be careful with self-targeting magicks due to Reflectga.
- 15Perks: Can leave the arena anytime to regroup, restock, and save.
