Locate a hole in the ground in the upper northwest of the Junction City map. This leads to a tunnel with two rooms and numerous supplies.

Giant rats guard the treasure, but they cannot pass through the doors of the rooms, creating an advantage for you.

Position yourself a couple of hexes outside a room and snipe the giant rats within the first room.

Proceed further down the tunnel. If you encounter rats you cannot fight, lure them back to the room and use the same sniping tactic. This method is effective every time.

The tunnel emerges through a long shaft in the middle of the city, within a multi-level building.

If you attempt to enter the tunnel from the city entrance, the ladder is hidden and cannot be selected from any view.

You can access and clear the tunnel at any point during the mission.
