Fallout Tactics mission 11 Osceola walkthrough: details on loot, enemy tactics, and base infiltration.
Walkthrough
- 1At the start of the mission, check the crates to your immediate south for medical supplies, mines, and remote explosives.
- 2Head north towards the guard post, advancing slowly. Engage enemies one or two at a time, targeting their eyes and arms to impair their vision and weapon use.
- 3The building west of the guardhouse contains ammo for sniper rifles, miniguns, and Brownings, along with first aid kits. The guardhouse itself has minimal ammo, liquor, and drugs.
- 4A direct assault on the main gates is extremely dangerous. If you must enter through the front, pick off enemies from a distance before they can engage you with their Brownings.
- 5Move to the northwest where the airship wreck is located. An old madman resides there, and three crates contain stimpaks.
- 6If you reach the junkyard, a crate holds shotgun shells and medical supplies. Avoid the sniper tower due to its range and accuracy bonus.
- 7An underground entrance is located east of the base, but it is heavily guarded by three entrenched enemies. The approach offers little cover, with the only real cover being a ruined building. To reach this cover safely, you must return to the insertion point and head directly towards it.
- 8The tunnel is filled with radioactive goo and leads into the base. However, ascending the ladder near the fuel tank will expose you to mutants.
- 9The most effective approach is likely to snipe guards from the main gates and then enter. Be aware that guards will likely engage you immediately upon entering a gate.
- 10A strategy is to enter one gate slightly, shoot visible enemies, then enter the other gate and repeat, slowly advancing and switching gates for better firing positions on enemies guarding the opposite gate. The back gate (a hole in the wall) can also be used, but snipers cover it.
- 11Exploit explodable objects like fuel tanks, petrol tanks, and oil barrels, which deal effective damage to nearby enemies.
- 12If you are struggling, try this tactic: Pick off all gate guards and any enemies that emerge. Enter through the West gate and move east to a ruined gray truck with a barrel next to it; use this as cover to shoot enemies by the large tank to the northeast.
- 13Move north and use the truck and a raised platform as cover to fire on enemies on the raised platform by the northwest stairs.
- 14Use the raised platform to target enemies north of that area, around four white tanks.
- 15Hide behind the bunker south of a small rusted building and throw grenades at the doorway to kill the approximately six to seven mutants inside.
- 16Inside the small rusted building, you will find .50 caliber ammunition and medical supplies on a bookshelf.
- 17You can skirt the base to the east or west, watching for mines. If you have enough flechette rounds, sneak to the sniper's nest and take out both snipers. With good bursts and luck, you can secure the platform and attack the base defenses from above. Taking a shot at even 0% accuracy will cause your target to run into range. Infiltrating the base from the west was not problematic.
Tips
- Targeting enemy eyes and arms can prevent them from seeing and using their weapons.
- Explosive barrels and tanks can be used to damage groups of enemies.
- Using cover effectively is crucial, especially when approaching the base.
- The sniper tower offers a vantage point but is also a dangerous position.
- The underground entrance is risky due to well-entrenched guards and radioactive goo.
- Switching between gates can provide better firing angles.
