Master the Great Bend mission in Fallout Tactics! Learn the best strategy with power armor, a Pancor Jackhammer, and character perks to dominate robots and secure victory.

Alright, so you've wrapped up whatever you were doing and are heading back to the mayor. Get your reward, then it's time to move on. We're heading into Bunker 12 next.

BUNKER 12:

This is a good spot to stock up. You'll find tank shells here now, which are super useful if you've managed to snag the tank. Plus, they've finally got plasma pistols in stock – about time, right? You'll get two missions offered again: Great Bend and Coldwater. For the sake of keeping things moving smoothly, we'll tackle Great Bend next.

GREAT BEND (MISSION 13):

Okay, so a player named Draconfyre has a pretty sweet strategy for Great Bend, especially on CTB mode. Here's the lowdown:

  • Do Coldwater First: The tip is to actually do the Coldwater mission before you hit Great Bend. This way, when you come back, you can grab a suit of power armor. Trust me, it makes a huge difference.
  • Gear Up: Grab yourself a Pancor Jackhammer and load up on about 250-300 slugs.
  • Character Build: If your main character has the Fast Shot perk, Bonus Rate of Fire, and Sharpshooter, you're golden. At medium range, you can dish out around 150 damage per burst against those robots.
  • Power Armor is Key: With the power armor, most of the robots (except the security bots and a couple of the humanoid ones) won't be able to touch you. You can basically walk through a hail of gunfire and pop them up close for over 200 damage.
  • Handling Security Bots: For those tougher security bots, just switch to single-shot mode. It only costs 2 AP, so it's super efficient.

The idea is that with this setup, your main character can pretty much solo the mission, wading through enemy fire thanks to the power armor and insane damage output. It's a bit of a risk, but it pays off big time.
