Walkthrough

After freeing the Mayor and silencing the alarm, sneak to the detention center to reach the Neostad before dealing with the Big Deathclaws.

Sneak into the building where the daughter is held through the tunnel. Be cautious of the two sentries by the dead civilian, as they face you.

Once inside, deal with the sleeping Beastlords.

Enter the room where the daughter is held; she will not leave until the Deathclaw is killed.

Warning: A bug may occur where the Deathclaw and a Beastlord attack through the wall. If this happens, reload.

In a normal encounter, the Deathclaw may open the door. Position your characters in the north office behind the Deathclaw.

Place 2 proximity (det) traps (a type of explosive device) in the doorway leading to the office.

Position your characters around the office for a clear field of fire.

Attack to draw the Deathclaw into the traps and your characters' fire. Only one character may take a hit before the Deathclaw dies.

Next, proceed to the ghoul area. Sneak your group, about 2 at a time, to a spot near the stairs on the south side of the building that lead to the roof.

Wait for the south sentry patrolling the tracks to turn and start heading north.

Sneak all your characters onto the roof, crawling and sneaking. Keep them by the edge so they can see the tracks.

Position your characters above a doorway with graffiti (a "mutated" happy face) on a wooden building.

Place your characters directly above this doorway and set them to aggressive.

Wait for an enemy to see you and attack. The Deathclaw will be standing below and will enter and exit the door.

When the Deathclaw goes inside, end combat. Keep everyone on aggressive.

When the Deathclaw comes out again, attack. Targeting and throwing grenades down on the Deathclaw can be effective, potentially defeating it in about 3 rounds.

Tips

Sneaking into the detention center first can make dealing with the Neostad easier.
The Deathclaw can open doors.
Using proximity traps and setting up a kill zone can minimize damage taken from the Deathclaw.
Using the rooftop provides a tactical advantage against the Deathclaw.
