Follow this Fallout Tactics guide to clear buildings near the airfield, defeat enemy commanders, and find valuable loot like the FN-FAL and Pancor Jackhammer.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the south gate, head NE towards the buildings near the airfield. Resistance is light. You can find a science book in the northernmost building.
  2. 2
Begin making your way south and southwest, clearing out the buildings. Use Turn-Based mode (TB) to move into view, fire, and then move out of view.
  3. 3
The first commander (at point 2) can be killed by moving west of his building and firing through the wall's holes from a distance, avoiding a direct confrontation.
  4. 4
In the commander's hut at point 2, you can find an FN-FAL in the icebox. It has respectable damage but limited range. There are also 2 Neosteads hiding behind a pot, along with shotgun ammo and explosive rockets.
  5. 5
For the commander at point 4, if you encounter issues, try approaching from the west and entering through the SW entrance. Be aware of a guard at this entrance. Inside, you'll find the commander, 2 guards, and 3 chests. One chest contains the Pancor Jackhammer, a powerful shotgun.
  6. 6
After defeating the commanders, return to Bishop. If many ghouls have died, you will receive the bomb but no other reward.
Tips
  • A grenadier can be effective in clearing buildings by throwing frag grenades through walls at enemies perceived behind them. This tactic does not work with Molotovs or other grenade types.
  • Another science book can be found on a bookshelf in one of the buildings on the south side of the map.
  • Completing the mission with minimal ghoul deaths may result in Bishop assisting research efforts and your general giving a speech. Otherwise, the primary reward is the loot acquired during the mission.
